Panthers possibly trading Thielen?

Do it. Get something out of it. Either way he is probably done after this season. Maybe we can get some LB or secondary depth out of it.

Renfrow is the same type of player on a less talented level.

Give McMillan, Legette, and Coker the top 3. Gives you a path to also keep Renfrow, Horn, Tremayne, etc.

Thielen is a tall air yards guy. Renfrow is a short yac receiver. Not too much in common really.

I'd do it; as long as the pick is right. I think a 4th and if we're lucky a future later round pick would be great.

I love what Thielen brings, but we're pretty deep at WR now (and it's actual young talent with a lot of promise), I'd miss his veteran presence and reliability though for sure.

We should do it--we are loaded at WR.  Keeping him on the roster means we cannot add a young guy--let Renfrow be the old veteran-and add some draft capital.  We are not winning a super bowl this year, but we are another draft (like this one) away from becoming relevant--when AT would be gone.  I worry about Bryce's development too, but maybe have AT gone will HELP his development.

XL, TMac, Coker, Renfrow, Horn, Moore, AND Brycen Tremaine is probably better WR depth than we have ever had at the position.

Renfrow

If the idea is for Renfrow to take Thielen's place... I'd feel more comfortable if I felt Renfrow can actually play an entire season of football.

Again, what are we getting in return? Just saying if we got a fourth for Mingo...

I am gonna push back on this "loaded" notion. There are some potentially nice pieces here but I don't think "loaded" is a word many in the NFL would use about us.

Could it be? Maybe.

I'd say Renfrow would take his place in the locker room, moreso Coker on the field.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
