Thielen traded

Sounds like after the fact I got what I want now I'm out the door coach speak to me. How he feels about Bryce Young personally ≠ cosigning this QB room. To me he lowkey expressed how he truly felt when he went completely out of his way to very enthusiastically praise a rookie QB who has yet to play a single snap in the regular season and say he could become the face of the league. That says more to me than this coach speak level out the door babble.

What's truly goofy is reading someone whailing about having another person on ignore and still daily getting reaction notifications from that person. As usual you're up at 7 am mad af. You have serious psychological problems. At some point the mods need to reel you in if you refuse to get help. Because you are going to have a complete and utter meltdown when this team inevitably struggles.

Completely agree. Its hilarious how if you still say even the slightest thing critical about bryce your replies and notifications light up like christmas and I'm not even a lil bit bothered in comparison. But I dont mind slinging poo right back for the fun of it. It is what it is.

I still dont understand how anybody thinks a player is gonna come out and say anything negative about bryce in the public. Where do they do that at? You always judge what's going on based on actions and body language.

Yeah eventually people like that abusing it for their own revenge are just going to get neg rep removed altogether again like before. People who have been around long enough remember it. Unlike some of these new fans who want to try and dictate to others so much 🙄

I was watching the Vikings preseason game vs. (I forget) and there was an undrafted free agent from Minnesota playing--his reads were lightning quick and he was accurate.  My interest was in seeing what the Vikings had on their roster who might be able to help us, and I wanted to see (later) if they put this qb on their PS.  They did not--they have him as the #3 QB behind Wentz.  In my view, he is going to be a very solid NFL qb in time.  I wonder if we could have picked him up in the AT trade, which is my point.

Max Brosmer.  He reads quickly and his footwork is excellent.  He does not overreact to pressure.  Lot to like about him.

I know this is "woulda, shoulda, coulda," but damn, we can't put all our chips on a 5'10" QB who is unproven in his third season as starter.  Normally I don't start threads like this, but I think we could have grabbed a player who has all the fundamentals to be a good NFL QB for a long time.  Would I cut Dalton?  I dunno.  Maybe keep 3, but Dalton has not shot at the future here--

Can we officially say that losing Thielen was impactful to this team? Every time he was out last year, we sucked. Then Coker goes down and we are left with a rookie, a first year guy, and Renfrow. Our tight end is stiff and unreliable in the passing game.

We gave up the glue that pulled this offense together. I have zero faith in this program working.

Bryce can ball, but he needs more receivers like Thielen and less like what the Buccaneers have, which is what it seems that Canales is pushing for.

They got rid of Thielen on purpose to see what they had in Bryce. No more Thielen lining up the offense and being a crutch for Bryce on reads. They absolutely need to know if Bryce is the guy or not, they'll find out what I've been saying since before the 2023 draft now.

I think Thielen wanted to leave and we got decent compensation for him.

We would have been a better team with him but Morgan played the hand we had well IMO. Cooker going down really hurt us though.

What do you mean? This makes zero sense. Would the Jets trade Garrett Wilson to see what they had in Fields? Would the Dolphins trade Waddle to see what they had in Tua?

That is the most ridiculous take I’ve ever heard on this board. You don’t trade your best receiver to see what you have in a QB. You go find a younger version of that receiver and build your QB up.

I don’t care if he wanted to leave. You sign a contract, you play, period. No one forced you to sign the contract.

Hes going to get there and go for over 100 yards tonight, guaranteed, while Bryce looked lost yet again.

They didn't trade him because he was the best receiver. They traded him because he was crutch presnap and your QB needs to be reading the line and coverages and understand what he's seeing and not rely on a wr to make calls and changes at the line.

Why keep a bandaid? If Bryce needs a 35 year old possession receiver to help him get this offense set and to catch 5 yard passes and get tackled immediately to not look like complete and utter ass then that kinda says all that needs to be said.
