Because Canales runs a chunk ball O scheme.  It’s what he did in Tampa.  What he did in Seattle.   And he largely is just going to be that.

he acquires talent that fits that

and Bryce Young will never fit that

Canales wasn't the OC in Seattle.

For all of the people upset about Renfrow being cut, did you ever think that maybe he wanted to be cut because he would essentially be 4th or 5th on the depth chart and he wants to go where he will be able to get on the field? Just saying, we don't have all of the information.

Well, I do remember Renfrow saying in so many words that it was the Panthers or bust.

Correct.  He was the passing game coordinator for a team in Seattle that lived off the deep chunk pass.

and them he was Geno whisperer when Geno had his breakout/comeback….that was built of Geno being the best deep ball passer that year.

as the Tampa OC - he brought what he leaned and did in Seattle.  Deep chunk football off the run.

Deep dives were done into his tree and everything Canales has been around and done In football when we hired him.

It’s Groundhogs Day.  Young isn’t the pairing for Canales’ O.  Square peg, round hole.

To me he's a "highlight reel" guy. Makes amazing plays that show up on Sportscenter all the time but doesn't necessarily play a full, consistent game.

I would love to see them. Haven't yet.

Stinking is an upgrade from Plummer.

This is a sinking and floating turds argument. Maybe just generally stay away from poo?

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
