  1. 1. Where does Bryce rank on the all-time draft bust list?

    • The biggest draft bust in the history of the NFL, considering the assets and picks we gave up to draft him.

Meh he is a bust. Time to admit it, let him go elsewhere and be someone else's problem.

I guess how he ranks doesn't matter to me. Much like Rhule I was ready to move on after 2 years. His hype from last year was a sad attempt at hope that was always destined for the reality to disappoint this year. His highs were ridiculously subpar. But big time throws are now as useful as that test he did as a prospect.

He is a bust because he cant play and would have been a bust regardless of where he was taken because he doesnt have the tools to be an NFL QB and somehow draft rooms and draft analysts widely speaking thought he had those tools.

The trade makes it hurt more from a Panthers perspective, but he is objectively a top 10 bust regardless

I said it leading up to the draft that I have no idea what the evaluators are looking at when they watch this guy on a college field and translate that to elite QB prospect. He checked zero physical boxes and nothing about his play stylistically translated.

    • Yep, you're right. I forgot about that. Fly was banged up, but RBA put him on the ice for a reason, too. Could have put KK out there, but there was a purpose for Deslauriers on the ice.
    • I wasn’t speaking of Metchie in the context that I referenced Renfro  I couldn’t, he hasn’t played a snap for us    My Metchie esteem level is just not real high. As an NFL WR.  I am no expert on WRs it’s just what I think based on how it has gone for him as a pro  If he can’t catch on here with his old buddy then who is left? I am not wishing him any misfortune and hope he does well because that means we stole some talent; basically for free to boot.
    • No one said it would be a permanent thing.  The best thing about having more than two good corners is that you can play them in different position which changes how a QB sees the play unfolding.  You put question marks on a QB you had a second or so of decision making and gives our improved (hopefully) DL a chance to sack him.  If Thornton and Lee turn out to be studs you have 4 good CBs that can be used all over the defense.  That's a good thing.  If you are looking at it just based on salary it is kind of weak take.
