PFF can go jump off a cliff and die. Did they even watch the game tape? How is possible that they ranked Bryce higher than Trevor Lawrence, unless they're pushing an agenda paid for by Alabama bagmen?

I mean let’s not act like Lawrence was any good, he was pretty bad also. Jags just got a few turnovers off a bad Panthers O and a 71 yard run and that was the difference. At least we aren’t paying Bryce a ton of money like the Jags are

exactly, this is on the level of David Carr.....yet unlike parting w/ David Carr after a year we are entering year 3.   We are basically the David Carr Houston Texans right now.  Rationalizing how it is really everyone else making Carr/Bryce bad.

People still do that with Carr to this day.  Oh no he's gonna get "David Carr'd".  Nah maybe Carr just sucked man.

I mean that is certainly one way of looking at things

Lawrence was basically mediocre. He didn't do much to win a game but very importantly in this one he didn't do anything to lose the game which is what Bryce was busy doing on the other side of the ball.

Don't forget that this game probably should've been 33-3 because we got bailed out of a pick six by an iffy call on the opposite side of the field and then scored a TD on the very next play. That was a 14 point swing right there

Lawrence was average, but Bryce was far below average. This isn't even up for debate, yet the Alabama-fellating cross-dressers at PFF apparently disagrees.

Once Carr left, things suddenly weren’t as bad.   The losing seasons went away starting the first year.  And they didn’t bring in Lamar Jackson, it was just an okay Matt Schuab

but yeah, logically we are the Carr Texans at this point.

Nah. Analytics are horseshit. Of course his completion % is high. 3/4 of his passes are behind or at the LOS

His completion % wasn’t even high.  Think OP misstated a stat.  Bryce was 30th this week in completion %.  The bottom is where he has been every year in the NFL in that department.

you gotta dig real deep in analytics to make a Bryce argument

    • Haha One thing I know is that I'm not one to complain in retrospect much, only when it's super damn obvious.  That draft was soooo damn obvious. So f*cking clear what we needed to do.  And it was hard to stomach for a lot of us.  I was not a Legette fan, just had to accept it and hope he was aight.   It was just like Mingo.  A guy most consensus had late 2nd/early 3rd at best.  If anything, Legette was a bigger reach than Mingo.  And we all felt it for some time after that draft.  It didn't feel good.  If anyone goes back, I was a Frazier, Sainristil, Pearsall, and Kneeland fan.  Could've gone BPA at so many critical spots rather than a cheerleading "fun" local interview.   I'll never forget an Athletic Pod with Brugler breaking down Legette.  He mentioned how he had spoke with a lot of teams and most of the league had him highest, a 3rd rounder.  There was one or two teams that had him much higher than others.  Voila.
    • I didn't say SB contender. Far from it. The D is quietly every bit as bad as the offense. The head coach is responsible for more than just the offense.
