There was nothing to interpret. You failed to mention the hypocrisy of how folks call Stroud's issues reasons for his struggles but call it excuses for Bryce which was already explained.

So the ultimate point you are trying to make is Bryce is now better then Stroud.   You go for it buddy

You fail to grapple with the reality that Stroud has proven that he can play at a high level in the NFL and Bryce hasn't. Guys who have shown it tend to get a little more leeway because... well, they've shown it.

JStew > Chuba

Olsen, Dickson > Tremble, Sanders

Oher/Norwell/Kalil/Turner/Remmers > Icky/DLew/Mays/Zavala/Moton

The WR room is probably the only group better than the 2015 team.

JStew/Chuba is about a push IMO. I love JStew but I honestly think he's one of the more overrated Panthers by our fanbase.

Yeah, the '15 TEs were way better.

The OL is a push. '15 was better on the interior and a lot better at specifically center but '25 is a lot better at OT, specifically at RT.

Yeah, the '25 WR corps is significantly better.

I think Stew was underrated. I think Chuba is about properly rated. And I don't mean that as a knock; he gets it done and I won’t criticize him.
I never liked Stew’s chronic foot or ankle issues but he was a load. I think I would take Stew in a close call.

I must say looking at the level of perfection we expect from our WR's present day it is interesting going back and reminiscing.

Ted Ginn Jr was often one of the most frustrating players to watch. He often had some unbelievable drops. And not contested catches either. Just flat out him whiffing on open passes that were thrown on a rope from Cam Newton. And Cam Newton kept going back to him. It made them both better. In the end Newton revitalized Ginn's career. That's what you expect from a first overall pick.

Totally fair assessment + criticisms. The breaking down of abilities though... he really is and has been processing things at a high level. The rookie season to forget, while many casual fans were upset that their eye test was being failed, many folks that know ball saw the insanity taking place with the highly touted coaching staff that end up being the biggest bust we have seen in a long time, an injury-riddled OL, and subpar weapons. Those were called excuses then and now.

Hell, even the criticisms about Bryce's arm strength seem to revolve around plays where he was unable to set his feet and deliver the ball. Not always, but there's been enough video showing stuff for example how many catchable deep balls thrown that aren't due to receivers not holding on.

The difference in how the team handled the blitz in week 3 makes me wonder how much of those first two weeks' blitz pick-up issues were on Corbett.

I think Stroud should be fine so long as he doesnt regress to how he was in college for all but the Georgia game. Pressure would really, really rattle him. That was the main reason why 3wks before the draft I put Bryce as 1a and CJ as 1b. Before anyone thinks that I'm just arguing to be right, I also thought that Max Duggan was a mid-round steal so being right clearly isnt that important to me as much as it is figuring out where I got it wrong (the league just wasnt ready for Max's greatness... 😤).

Oh, I was right there with you. 1. Bryce, 2. CJ, 78. Richardson.

About the footwork, that's another very disappointing factor about Bryce. His footwork and timing was so insanely atrocious coming in(not something I noted as much in college) that I don't think I ever thought he would have to get back to fundamentals so quickly. Nor did I think it would take so long for there to be any real attempts from he or the franchise to improve that aspect of his game.

He is physically limited but not getting your feet set consistently is murderous for the outcomes of far too many of his passes. I think quite a bit of his struggles have been related to those issues more than anything else.
