It’s not defensive end.  You can’t go out and get someone to learn how to play QB mid season.  The beds been made.  Now it’s time to poo in it.

I get it I totally get it but the locker room would probably revolt at some point and dave really can have that

I get this but at this point you need to worry about player development at other positions.

like we need to be concerned about tmac, Coker etc. these are wasted years for them.

That was tmacs destiny the day he got selected by this awful franchise.  Teddy bridgewater can’t save us now

to be honest Dave Canales has no real plan B at Qb ?

you don't become the least talented roster in the NFL by mistake it's called incompetence ...just saying

At this point it's unfortunately more than incompetence it is deliberate negligence. Everything they have done (Staff FO ownership) the last 3 offseasons has been to make things as comfortable as possible for their #1 overall pick. No real competition whatsoever at the most consequential position on the field three consecutive years. I mean that's insane negligence beyond even some of the most poorly run franchises in sports. That's where we're at.

I reminded me of the tactic of burning the bridge behind you so you can’t retreat. Sink or swim.

Not a lot of room to make it worse though, from where we are. We could go 0-17.
What do you think we will do this year? 3 wins? 4? I think I predicted 6 I know that I did last year. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt there but that is wasted on this QB.

I predicted 6 then after the most inept preseason I've ever seen I lowered it to 3. I think we're right on track for 3 wins.

Miami is their only real shot at another win unless someone pulls another Atlanta this season. I'd say 2 wins are a safe bet with 3 being possible.

We play the Bucs 2 of the last 3 weeks.  Very likely the last game is meaningless for them and they give us a free win.

We do play the saints twice though and they're very falconish.

And I’m reminded of fragging COs

You best do that before that bridge is set afire.

edit: and the Bucs… they will only lay down if the seeding is already set.

I'm not sure it's possible to play as bad as Atlanta did against us. They would have to forfeit the game to assure us the win.

    • The motto means nothing if they lay down and submit to the opponent. One of the most embarrassing things I have seen from twenty years of being a fan.  Regardless if the lead seems to be insurmountable, you keep giving 110% untill the final second. Canales is definitely a Beta and it wasn't a good look at all. I wonder what the locker room was whispering about after that sh%t. I hope we never see this again and he actually grows a pair of balls. He needs to look in the mirror and understand that you just don't do that in the NFL. Maybe peewee football so kids don't get hurt. Throw the 3rd stringers in to run the play and finish the game wirh some some pride and don't bend the knee.
    • No but we should have kept both of them. People complaining about what he got paid can’t say much now because it’s absolutely worth it to get 15 sacks which we could desperately use, especially when you compare it to some of the free agents we have signed to try to replace that production (none of them have come close and we are wasting good money on them)
    • That period started rough but the canes stayed with it.  They will when this game 3-1 or 4-2 the way it’s going.
