First I miss TheBigCat and wish WISH he had found a way to keep the team in the family and not to a hedge fund know it all. He had a steady hand and would spend money when needed

I miss Hurney, he NAILED first round picks, he was so/so in FA and trades but he kept the team competitively fielded

I miss Gettleman, he was a decent talent evaluator but a horrible personality

Fox / Rivera wasn’t thrilling football but you knew you were going to be a good team every other year and have a solid defense regardless

change my mind but Tepper is the worst thing that could have happened to this franchise

I’m 43 and been David and Nicole that means I’ll likely die before seeing this team do anything special

It's hard to say. Dave isn't a spring chicken and the spouse ownership of an NFL franchise typically hasn't lasted long.

I don't see this being a 20+ year ownership span.

That fat fug needs to each morning eat Bojangles Mcdonalds and the shittyest shwarma each day for three meals a day. That should do it faster than your timeframe

Under Richardson, the Panthers W/L record was just outside the bottom 1/3rd of the NFL. Not good. Records including the Super Bowl(s) were closest to….the Jets and Jaguars. Again, not good.

Just because Tepper is ass, and mediocrity seems great now doesn’t mean it wasn’t JR’s time to go. Unfortunately, we just got stuck with a shitty owner who’d rather fail on his terms than win with help. He wants the credit.

It's also possible that he grows tired of being an NFL owner or sees(likely) that this asset is going to eventually decline in value.

I wouldn't bank on the idea that he will be the owner we all know for the next 15-20 years.

I miss Richardsons ownership, dont miss his ya know...sexism.  At this point, I'd say Morgan is every bit as fine as hurney.  Canales is trending down...HARD right now looking like a guy in over his head and a boy scout that tepper liked just like bryce.  End of the day no matter what Morgan does, he has a make a wish kid playing QB and a defense ran by a guy who licks windows.  team looks like poo, but hes been more alright than bad compared to the other dogshit, crayon eating, window lickers we got roaming the sidelines.

I miss Riverboat.

I just miss having hope. Atleast back then, I could expect us to have a winning season next season if we were in the midst of a losing season. Also, even in those losing seasons, the team was competitive. What we’re going through now isn’t fun at all.

I miss JR, I loved him. He once sent me a hand written reply to an email I sent in congratulating on making the SB in ‘03 and thinking him for bringing us a team.
No one ever specifically gave details of his alleged racist slur., I will not condemn him without the evidence,

Typical of the way certain factions operate - they impugn and manufacture outrage to get a goal accomplished. I didn’t realize at the time it was to get a globalist billionaire into their club but on reflection I believe that is what was behind it,

I was really sad for him having to finish out his life under that shadow, and having his prized possession and accomplishment taken from him.
Maybe he did do that stuff. But NO Proof has been given that I have ever seen.
And if he got mad and said the magic word, total cancellation is too extreme. It was ginned up because they wanted him out for their own selfish reasons. NFL owners I mean.

edit: I soured on Ron. Really got stale. Ditto with Fox, he revolted in ‘10 and did a poo job to spite JR and we are the ones that suffered. So fug him. I was real happy with him before that, as a coach.
Hurney started with the trading future 1 rounders, and I am as opposed to that as anything they could do. So, I liked  him as a personality but no you cannot do that Marty.
Gettleman had a good 1st draft and talked good about “putting the proper value on the player”,  but I came to really dislike him.

But the defensive tough guy, especially ex players that have that respect, I miss that and we need that.

My gut: Tepper really bought a stadium and an NFL ‘team’ got thrown in to the mix as a bonus. The stadium is really where the $ is at. Event venue. Big time college games. Concerts.  Real estate value, tax breaks… leverage enough tax $$ so he can renovate his toy, and then 86 the team to some other city, all while keeping his money printing apparatus in place. Fielding a perpetual embarrassment only helps to grease the skids.

Could be. Who wants this losing ass train wreck for their team though. Better to start from scratch.
