Evero will be next

I think the problem with firing Evero is who do you replace him with right now? Most of the Defensive staff are his hand picked guys.

-Todd Wash was a horrible DC

-Jonathan Cooley called plays in the pre-season and was horrible

-Dom Capers is 163 years old and I doubt he can stay awake an entire game

Sir Big Spur, if you think about it you can probably make a good guess. It does not look like Canales has rank over Evero to tell him who to play. Without overstepping. 
 

But Canales and Morgan have roster control. And Canales overstepped lol. That’s what I think. 
 

In general I don’t know how to evaluate the defense because they are the red headed stepchild here in the draft and FA 2022, 2023, 2024. They have been so neglected and so ‘underfunded! I can’t expect a lot. 
I know that maybe the players have been out of position a lot and that is coaching but aren’t getting the best brightest bulbs off the street. The saying I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for you may be relevant 

So I just have a hard time being real judgemental given those things. 

Honestly I'm not sure why Dom's here anymore. He must be Evero's version off Andy Dalton. I wouldn't lose any sleep if both were gone.

I wouldn't expect anyone to be let go until the season is over. Tepper cannot do a midseason firing again. He's going to let Morgan do the dirty work this time.

I don't mind the 3-4, but we need scouts and a GM who know how to build a 3-4. We obviously don't have that right now, and so we're watching trash blow in the wind.

Yes. We’ve never been able to execute 3-4 that effectively. We did an decent job in the 90s but it was never as good as the defense we had in Fox and Rivera’s 4-3.

Technically Rhule and Snow ran a 3-3-5 but they did a lot of disguised fronts and would line up in 3-4, 4-4, 4-3, 4-2-5. Snow was pretty clever.

But yeah, it was believed that Tepper pushed Ron to do it in 2019 after our defense was struggling to generate a pass rush from the 4-3 in 2018. All that happened was our run D went to ass and we still had no pass rush.

Many old guys know poo, that they didn’t know like, 30 years ago. Even if they knew a lot then. Insight into scenarios and such.

Twenty five snaps for Johnson and twelve for princely. Johnson sucked and shat the bed again in the Patriots game. Couldn't hold the edge and zero pressure. So he is gone.

Shat is going to hit the fan very soon if this keeps up. Tepper probably flipped out and read Canales the riot act. They cant do much about the boy wonder on offense, but they can make moves on this shat defense.

We spend over 60% of our Salary Cap on O and haven't drafted a defensive player in the first round since 2021 (and both of our last two first round defensive players are on their second contracts...).

Tepper wanted to be the Steelers - he was a minority owner of the Steelers so all he's known in the 3-4.
