If we have two above average starters from the draft, it was a big win.

If we land starters consistently from two of our first three picks and a sprinkle of starters and backups from the rest, it's a pretty solid draft, imo, allowing for a couple misses without crippling is. More than that and it starts to approach excellent territory. 2025 is already looking great on those counts

I ain't counting any chickens yet but this draft is already vastly exceeding my expectations.

Most people agree the roster has talent. Dan has been hit and miss. The biggest miss currently is the lack of urgency with the QB room. Let's be real here. We aren't going to get to go up against Penix Jr and Tua every week. Even Drake Maye dumped on us. It's a marathon not a sprint. And I am a lifelong Panthers fan but I know there's going to be another egg laid sooner or later.

You never cease to amaze me with your ability to get a Bryce Young dig on practically any post regardless of the topic 🤣🤣🤣.

Bryce was a Fitterer pick.  I do believe more could have been done to bring in competition.

Most GMs are hit and miss.

Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan were basically best friends by their own words. To argue Morgan was an unwitting participant in the pick is just unnecessarily silly.

Sir you've created 6 Bryce Young pity party threads within the last 30 days.

At this point you might as well be his agent.

With Morgan's love of size and length "no diddy" at other positions it's not out of the realm of possibility that Bryce wasn't his preference. He may have just been an assistant GM towing the line

Dan Morgan as GM has absolutely paid through the nose to surround Young with as much talent as possible even to the detriment of other areas of the roster. Does that sound like someone who took the job knowing that his success would be dependent on a player he never wanted to draft in the first place?

There's no need for revisionist history.

And I would guess you have at least a hundred Bryce is trash threads over the last week alone. Everyone gets it by now. Your obsessed with him. Your hate knows no bounds. Someone could post something about the kicker and you would find a way to get a dig in there.

POST: "Wow our kicker is great. He just hit a 58 yrd field goal"

YOU: Yeah but if Bryce could throw beyond 5 yards, he wouldn't of needed to.

But I tell you what. I won't post anything supportive of Bryce for the next week for you if it bothers you that much.

Bro, Bryce was a Tepper pick. Specifically Nicole. Fitterer did what his boss wanted including moving mountains to get a QB because the ROI is typically high. Quality QB play gets you air time which sells jerseys, seats, etc.

The problem is had he just sucked for one more year we end up with Daniels, Maye, or Williams and get to retain DJ Moore while actively building a core of talent sooner.

Tepper, screwed that up.

At least this draft is promising early, as opposed to recent drafts, heh.  Not needing to wait for early drafted players to develop and make an impact... What a weird feeling.

I think there is room for other interpretations of the inner working of the DM SF bromance.
Yourself, being a man of character, work for your best friend. You might be close enough to speak your true opinion without repercussion.
Stay with me.
Dan was really good NFL MLB. How do you think a guy that played against Brady, Farvre, people like that, would view going against a 5’10” noodle arm that wasn’t a human joystick?
I know I what I think about that.

So he say to best bud, I don’t know about this. Looks risky. Best Bud says, your opinion is noted. What about that DT we are looking at? Dan was a defensive guy.

Now I will stretch it further but I don’t need to. Fit says the Tepper’s are in love with the guy what do you want me to do?
That isn’t even necessary it may be that Fit loved him too.

There are multiple things that an open minded person might view as realistic scenarios.

Just sayin.

As far as the offensive overeating at the buffet, I really believe that was an edict from the boss: “do not let him fail. Know what I’m sayin?”.

It has nothing to do with Bryce. Going into the offseason we had options other than an ancient Andy Dalton and piss poor Plummer to look at. Dalton didnt look good other than one game against the worst defense in the NFL. We should have upgraded at backup QB, especially to a backup that fit our HC style of offense. That meant a gunslinger and there were several available to be had that were younger and better suited for DC's offense. Plummer was always a waste of time. Sometimes you find gems or maybe guys that can be serviceable for a game or 2 but you actually have to look for them. We didn't. We did nothing to improve our QB room and that has nothing to do with Bryce. We kept Bryce comfortable, but thats a different topic in and of itself.
