It was a good performance but the cowboys are one of the worst defenses in the league this year. Bryce did exactly what you want your qB to do though and he moved out of pressure very well.

Nah man, I'm happy for the team and for Bryce. But let's not act like the Cowboys are some good defense. They give up more yards than any other team and give up 30 ppg (29th in the league).

But Bryce was good today, particularly at avoiding pressure - the one thing the Cowboys D does well.

Some day, he'll need to carry the team for us to win. But that time isn't now and he made the plays he needed to for us to stay in the game and ultimately get the W. Rico deserves tons of credit for the last two games but Bryce, especially today, took advantage deep which is what a lot of us have been wanting.

But Bryce was good today, particularly at avoiding pressure - the one thing the Cowboys D does well.

Yeah that's one key aspect I'll give him specific credit for is he handled the pressure much better today. Minus the balls thrown into the dirt which if I'm being honest need to stop 35 games into his career.

I do wish he would give a player like TMac a chance rather than sitting when what he wants isn't there, but he's cleaned up the turnovers and overall I think he made good choices with the ball this game.

I mean if he could hit TMac in stride consistently downfield instead of him having to slow up for the ball we could be opening up a wider lead. While the receivers have had their laspses at times ball placement has been an issue too often than it should be this season. But I've got people trying to tell me our two best QB's in franchise history couldn't add points to the board with the historic rushing from Rico Dowdle. Amuses me.

I know what you mean. I keep hoping Bryces timing will improve and our guys won't need to basically wait to catch balls but at least he was able to find the right player many times this week, and often down field. He seemed more confident than earlier in the year and his game resembled his successful games last year, hitting 15-20 yard passes multiple times

      So happy that LaMelo got the layup to go and *won* the game. How happy he was after the game, that's what a young dude like him needs to keep it going and keep the belief going. If we lose, LaMelo gets blamed, and he's got an offseason to be in his head and hear the noise like the last few years. The season might still have an ugly ending, but weirdly feels like last night was HUGE for this team moving forward.

      My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
