When the Panthers play like ass, it's appropriate to be blown out. Panthers lost in all 3 phases of that game.

Actually, we did not play badly on defense. Special teams was what directly led to that unholy ass whipping.

yeah but they've got an mvp candidate playing qb. makes up for a lot.

Also rumored to be sniffing around DJ Moore but I'm not sure he and Diggs could be in the same locker room.

Yeah, Maye is playing great but I don't think the end of year discussion is going to be either the Pats being good nor the Maye being an MVP candidate. I think the schedule so far has a lot to do with that. Which, I am pretty sure their current SOS is 31st, so perhaps this does also continue.

It is fascinating how different this forum is from real life.

I have had a BLAST this season.  Been to all 3 home games.  I was out today for the game.  Had a great time with friends and other Panthers fans that I have met along the way

I get on this forum to celebrate Panthers football with fans who have been posting on this site for ages.  Fans who have seen this team be AWFUL for a long time.  We finally get to a winning record, and yet the first thing people rush to do?  "IS BRYCE GOOD?"  "CANALES MAKING ME MAD"

But in real life?  The Panthers fans I have met?  Happy as hell.  Having a freakin' blast.

I am loving this season.  First time in a long time I wake up on Monday's just SUPER excited for Panthers football later in the week.

Brother I was about to make a post about this and thank god I saw this because I'm experiencing the EXACT SAME. When we were 1-2 after the falcons game I was in London and Scotland and met several panther fans and every single one was absolutely stoked. You come on here at 4-3 and you would think we are the Pittsburgh steelers with the geezers whining after a win.

Dude I love that we won. But you don’t think it’s concerning that we couldn’t pull off a more dominating win against an 0-6 team ?

Our defense absolutely dominated.   Special teams was also on point.

We can pretty well against their defensive front.

Our mash unit of an online still dud respectable against constant pressure.

Seems we have different definitions for the same word.

Some of you lot are incorrigible and need to fug off to another fanbase lol

I am going to celebrate and leave the criticisms and over analyzing for another day.

Keep Pounding b*tches!

It was a nail biter. Never felt comfortable. Ugly. I place value on it not because we are 4-3 but because it is proof of progress. Possible change.

Jets lost. That could have been us and probably would have been the last few years.

Perennial losers on the way to being winners at some point have to learn how not to blow it. Because that is the pattern.
we had some of that in ‘02.
We had to transition again in 2011 and 2012.
it is a step. Hopefully it isn’t followed by too many spells backwards.

Did you watch the Broncos vs Jets?

A good bit of it, yes. Denver couldn't get out of their own way for 2.5 quarters and then had an outlier explosion of good fortune that some folks swear was a sign that God/fate/Demaryius Thomas himself from beyond the grave intervened because they scored 33 points and DT was 33 when he died.

Whoops, had Broncos/Giants on the brain and misread.

No, I did not watch that game. However, it was international, and international games don't count for much IMO in terms of assessing a team. They are frequently weird/wonky.

    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
