This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)

Yeah I did radio so had to rely on them to know a good throw or a missed one, but my impression is he didn’t really do much horrible it was just not winning football.
The wilting in the 4th quarter was bad though. And he limits the offense just by being the QB to start with.

As I said I did radio so won’t criticize individual throws or plays too much anyway until I see some video.
I can’t get excited about the team with him as the QB. I cannot say I expected to win because of Bryce Young today. I thought defense was going to have to be good and they were poo.
He can’t put up much more than low to mid 20s points wise so if they give up anything and don’t get takeaways it gets tough.

I hope the people at Mint Street are not as unseeing as so many people here are. 3 games to go.

What's the purpose of this post?

I think he implies that Bryce's remaining fans suffer from homerism of the ethnic kind. Bryce fans are desperately rallying around a fellow "Mexican" in a high profile job in an attempt to cope with what many in the Latino community regard as very dark times.

We've been had.    And it's clear Dave doesn't trust him

That was so fuging lame. Canales’ positivity after being embarrassed is hard to stomach.

He followed the ‘physics’ excuse by saying sneaks weren’t “our style” and we would prefer to focus on our style.

Honestly fug that double talk. Tired of excuses for Bryce not being able to do meat and potato QB tasks. Style. Yeah.

You know who else doesn't run QB sneaks? Mahomes and Lamar. They use TEs. We could do that too if they're concerned about his size. But... I do recall Bryce running a QB sneak against Green Bay and getting a couple of yards out of it. He can do it. They just don't.

Its the coaches call. I'm telling you what you see is Canales "style" of offense he wants to run and its garbage. He violates to golden rule of any coach in taking what the defense gives you. Sometimes he gets lucky and the opposing defense just happens to align with his offensive plan and he looks like a genius. He's a fraud.

We all knew that 204 Combine weight was complete bullshit. Bro showed up and hid under a hoodie all weekend to hide the spare tire he was carrying around his waist from pigging out in the weeks leading up to it because his only purpose in being there was to step on a scale north of 200. It being bullshit confirmed when he declined to step on the scale again at his pro day after he'd trimmed back down to or close to his actual playing weight to do some drills. I don't blame Bryce for that, he was just playing the game. He just gave us permission to believe what we were dying to believe anyway. He probably is 190ish today after three years of NFL S&C and just a few more years of natural maturation. That probably means he was 180ish as a rookie.

at this point Bryce is Brenton Bersin and anyone that isn't ready to move on is Jerry Richardson.   Dude is not a NFL starting QB.  We can keep playing as one but it doesn't change the fact he doesn't belong.

and yeah, Bersin could make a catch every now and then too.

I will say as a critic, it was not on him.

HOWEVER, he needs to learn how to sneak or we need to draft a guy like Haynes King who can come in like Taysom Hill does for certain situations.

Maybe not totally on him but his mediocre at best performances do not elevate the team like a #1 overall should after three fugging years. I was never a believer, but tried to give the benefit of doubt, now I’m done.  This guy can’t even motivate the team before a game, we need someone with some dog in them behind center.
