100%. This was always going to be Bryce's make or break year. I either wanted us to suck terribly or Bryce shocks the league and wills us into the playoffs. This is the worst possible outcome. Doing just enough to lose draft position while also giving the Teppers a reason to keep Bryce around.

Cam, four years removed from the NFL, better than Bryce

57 year old AARP Joe Flacco is in a different stratosphere than Bryce.

PJ Walker, Matt Moore, David Carr, Derek Carr, Derek Zoolander all better than what this impossibly bad bust will ever be.

I am not sure you can find a worse QB on an active roster. I'm not sure you can find 10 worse than him on a practice squad or sitting at home. Been a fan since the first preseason game 30 years ago. Never have I disliked a Panther player for their on field play as much as Bryce. The only players I can remember hating this much period were Vick because he always wrecked us and Matt Ryan for his braided belts and yelling to get off his field. 

He is not a NFL player. He does not have NFL size. He does not have NFL talent. He does not have a single redeeming quality and single handedly removes some of the SEC mystique. Because if he can look decent then that conference can't be all its hyped to be.

The day he is no longer on the team will become a holiday for this franchise.

They would be better. No doubt in my mind this would be a better football team tomorrow with Cam versus Bryce. He hasn't played in years, but he would be better than this. And it probably wouldn't be close.

This team was never contending for a playoff spot with Bryce at QB. I just hate that we were able to limp to a 5-4 record so that they could keep pretending that Bryce was an NFL QB instead of aggressively trying to shop for an NFL caliber QB at the trade deadline. What happened today was very obviously always coming. Teams were always going to eventually wake up and just start completely selling out against the run to force us to have to pass to beat them. It's shocking it took this long.

      Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.

      I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
