At least Clausen had a decent arm....

The Jets as well I think top us.

1st round pick Mark Sanchez (though he had some early success, somehow has like 4 road playoff wins)

Zack “milfhunter” Wilson at #2 overall

Christian Hackenburg in the 2nd, actually worse than Clausen because he never even got to play in a game (and wasn’t injured) and was gone after 2 years.

Other notables include Kellen Clemens, Brooks Bollinger, Erik Ainge, James Morgan, Bryce Petty, Greg McElroy, and Clemson legend Tahj Boyd.

That’s pretty rotten too

Jeff Lewis was the worst QB to ever wear the Panthers uniform. I have never seen anything like it.

Yea but guys like Lewis and Fasani don’t have enough starts to really count.  We went into the season with Clausen penciled in as the dude at QB.  All the other “worst ever” guys were 3rd stringers thrown into action for 1 or 2 games.

The Browns easily top this by how many and how shitty they were. Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden and Johnny Manziel all in the first round. Deshone Kizer in the 2nd, Charlie Frye and Cody Kessler in the 3rd. Also includes DTR and Spurgeon Wynn.

Three first round picks for Diddy Watson on top of that. Not to mention how many bad qbs from other teams got starts.

I will take a look at it tomorrow and see if I can find the worst 3-4 QB's. I think probably only 1st-3rd round is reasonable.

Which is weird because lefties usually have rockets

It was obvious in college he had a noodle arm.

Lewis performed so poorly he lost his starting job in the preseason after being named starter AND after being traded for a 3rd and 4th round pick.

I have never seen anything like that preseason in 2001. It was insane.

Clausen was another guy that just played with superior talent his entire life so it didn't matter how good he was.  He didn't have a good arm but he also just sucked on the mental aspect.

I still remember writing an angry email to some Panthers email in 2010 about how awful the team was. Jerry fuging Richardson called me lol (along with a few others that had done the same). He blamed it all on Fox hahaah

That's a bonus for them though tbh.

They threw a second on the chance they might be able to fix him. Hack had all the physical tools, and did look okay his freshman year.

but then they got a look at him in person and were like "oh my god no" and just kinda forgot he was on the team and quietly cut him lmao

I mean you could at least say that there were no other QBs drafted after Clausen that year that you could really feel like we missed on, Colt Mccoy was probably the best which is uhh not good. But the Jets could have drafted Dak Prescott instead of burning a second on a QB who that many people thought was a day 3 project at the very best.

I had no idea Clausen played for Baltimore.  I thought he went straight into real estate in California once we drafted Cam.....

The funniest thing about Clausen after his Panthers career is that he somehow ended up on the Bears with Fox as the coach and had to start a game when Jay Cutler got hurt. He threw for 63 yards that game which they lost 26-0 and where they punted 10 times.

Dak was off a lot of teams boards because of the DUI. Point stands tho

I think you’d have to expand to 4 rounds at least if you’re including Weinke because that’s where he was drafted
