"by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down?

That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.

If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now.

I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.

Something along those lines if what I've heard is correct. They want him to be able to save face because of his history with the University.

They did it because college football brings in so much more money than basketball.. Unfortunately they spent it all on the wrong coach.

I'm glad Hubert is gone but they have to get this hire right

So instead of maintaining a premier top-tier consistent title contender and member of one the most watched rivalries in sports, they want to have 2 mediocre programs competing for nothing every year?

Seems legit.

Wade's a POS, but also partially on State. You get in bed with a whore, don't be surprised when they do whore things.

Truth.

Like when UNC hired Butch Davis and then we get hit for recruiting violations. Like yeah, no poo. Dude coached Miami when they we paying like the 33rd NFL team. What did you expect?

Easy to crush Will Wade, but there isn't a person here who wouldn't do the same thing.

I definitely would have.

Last I checked honor and integrity don't pay for trips to Turks and Caicos.

Run back to the employer that had previously fired me? Yeah, nah definitely wouldn't have done that.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
