So, after Sunday's game does that mean we're stuck with Bryce for the foreseeable future?

I mean I suppose if he doesnt revert back to the norm anything is possible, but the data simply says he is who he is.  And you cannot have that level of floor as a NFL qb.  You just cant.    I think the 5th is slated to be 30millionish so thats a hefty price for a guy like him.  I mean poo Brisset just went off yesterday as well and he is making 6 million.  It happens.   I just hope Tepper, dan and dave are fooled by it again like they were at the end of last season.

I will say for the 100th time, the qb room has to improve.   Cut dalton, sign a vet draft a guy.

The amount of Brissett and the Joneses are getting should make us take a hard look at Dalton this offseason.

Ask yourselves if you wouldn't pay literally double what Brissett and Mac Jones are getting paid just to have a reliable backup option.

Why? Why does that invalidate everything else?

didn’t we just do this with him in 2024?

Pretty sure he means the 5th year option.

If he balls out the rest of the way and we win a few more, I am fine extending him to that 5th year option.

That's with the caveat that we have multiple options available at the position going into TC.

That is a begrudgingly acceptable result.

Poo , all you want, but damn.. This game done cemented Bryce as Panthers Qb for atleast another 3 years...

Bryce apologists will state this game in the annals of time.  Do I hate Bryce,  no , but reliving the last 3 years for another 3.. will probably lose me as a Panthers fan...

I hope he can be who fans on here think he is. I'm glad we won, but at what cost to Panthers future?

People this miserable usually work for an HOA or government agency

On what planet do you think this one game will net Bryce a lengthy contract extension?

We still haven't even decided on his 5th year option yet.

I would hope we have an at least basic level of competency in our Front Office(debatable, I know) that we wouldn't have a Huddle-esque knee jerk reaction that translated into immediate contract extension.

If you see us pick up his 5th year option this week and/or sign him to a contract extension in the next week or two, then you may be correct that we are that stupid.

The far more likely scenario is that we let the rest of the season play out and then make the next decision necessary on his future here.

Lets see what he does for the rest of the season.

There’s 6 games left. By the end of the season this game will be an afterthought if he doesn’t continue to have good performances.

This. If he keeps playing like this, GREAT! If he reverts to his norm, well poo. That sucks but it's expected.

What people need to realize though is that virtually everyone on an NFL roster (with the possible exception of Shedeur Sanders) is capable of having a great performance if given 35+ opportunities and the stars align correctly on a particular Sunday. If you aren't capable of great play when everything goes perfectly to plan then you're not NFL caliber. Right now, the bad games are the norm and the truly great games are extremely few and far between.

It doesn't invalidate anything else, but how you play at the end of ths season is what matters most. They could finish anywhere from 6-11 to 12-5 right now. I know it's a little hyperbolic but the season is going to be made or broken in the next 6 games.

He could shut up his critics by playing like he did against the Falcons in at least HALF of the remaining games. Or if Bryce is the reason the team fails down the stretch we have our clear answer. But I think most fans, myself included, are wary that this Falcons performance was an outlier and he will be back to the same old Bryce next game, but that's why they play the games. He has 6 games to either push the team into the playoffs or fade into misery.

This is just narrative building.

If the panthers had a an actual qb they’d be comfortably in first place in the nfc south, not waxing poetic after beating a 3-7 falcons team who played the second half without their qb, and needing overtime to do it

i don’t give a poo if Bryce has enough games over 200 yards against under 500 teams to earn a ticket to boat race city in Detroit.

I cannot believe I am saying this and i still don’t think Canales is worth a poo but from a talent and contract perspective this team is ready to compete. Their window starts in 2026.

Chasing mediocrity with Bryce wastes it

Honestly glad that the playbook opened up this game. Hopefully it was enough for DC to let Bryce air it out more and for Bryce to trust everyone not named TMac. I saw that this game was TMacs lowest targeted game and yet got more yards. This team keeps finding ways to win on offense. First we had the monster run games, and now we aired it out against the #1 pass defense in a record breaking performance. This offense can get scary real fast in the last half of the season bc they’re showing and developing into a team that can adapt to whatever the defense throws at them. I’m personally very excited.

Brisket threw for a lot of yards on a lot of attempts and threw 2 picks and less touchdowns than Bryce. All in GARBAGE time. Do not compare the brisket to my glorious prince they are not the same
