The problem is, if we keep getting him all these weapons and OL for him to have success, eventually we can’t keep bringing in assets because of cap space. So they won’t all be here together forever and then what? Oh, that doesn’t even include not building the defense up. Wasting time and assets of giving him more and more chances will bite us in the ass, hard. He’s had plenty of chances and he’s been the same guy since his rookie years how many chances should they give him?

I don't know what to tell you, this is the meal you have. We’ll stick with Bryce unless he plays just awful and we losing or someone else takes the job. If we’re winning and he’s playing okay, here we are

Yeah, but if the running game had of been stopped we would have lost. Yes, Bryce played well and did what was asked of him. But if we had of had to rely on him passing the game would have been a much different story.

This game shouldn't move the needle at all when it come to giving Bryce his 5th year.

Should... vs will...

What the fug are you watching?  Holy poo there really cannot be folks out there thinking this after 12 games?  No fuging way

Is season 3 not better than season 2? Was season 2 not better than season 1?

He has had very good games this season, but is wildly inconsistent.

Yal gotta stop acting like it’s the end of the world.

They can pick up the 5th and still bring in legit competition and draft a qb whenever they want.  All the 5th does is give them a little more flexibility.

Relax.

Exactly. It is a given.

That’s really not how things go in the NFL.   That’s some created Panther scenario.  Bryce either comes back to start next year or you move on from the worst starter since he arrived into the league.  Your #1 overall 3 year starter doesn’t do a legit battle he can lose in camp and just become the backup….that creates absurd in house dynamics.  Which is why you don’t see the proposed happen

I havent been to a home game since 2019...... It is time.  I am getting tickets to the bucs game and would encourage you all to do the same.  I will support Bryce the best I can the rest of his time here.  If we are going to play tough big boy football I will support that 100%

I got my tickets when season tickets first went on sale for the 1st Bucs game. I thought it was wasted money there for awhile. They are looking better as the season rolls on.

He hasn't had very good games this season,  he had one.  The Panthers have had several really good games and many aspect have gotten much better.  The passer hasn’t

I think he’s trying to say what he thinks the team will do, not that it’s the best decision or a decision he would make.

Again, correct.

I get that it's not what a lot of people wanna hear, but I'll refer back again to the words of 20th Century philosopher Dwayne Johnson for the rebuttal.

    • Sure it does, maybe not every position and not every draft.  You have to admit the hit rate goes down the further in the draft you get.  Would you more readily find a generational talent at the #2 pick or #19 pick?  High picks are considered "busts" if they doesn't pan out, whereas guys drafted later don't have that level of scrutiny upon them.  Different expectation levels.  If Styles does indeed go #2, I already listed the rarefied air that he would be in.  Maybe he doesn't set the League on fire, but my gut feeling is he does.  Again, you don't take an off-ball LB #2 if he is just a 'really good' player.
    • To illustrate my point, I watched (and commented on the Huddle) that Rozeboom would often wait a full second (or close to it) before taking his first step.  I assume that he probably had issues with false steps, a faulty practice that can take an ILB out of the gap completely.  Watch Luke and you see a step with the snap, and rarely was it a false step.  Rozeboom may have had 100 tackles (speculating) but initial contact was 2-3 yards on the defensive side of the ball.  Luke's 100 tackles were made 1-2 yards from the LOS.  Over the course of a year, Luke was much more productive (more fumbles, fewer long gainers, more OL penalties, fewer first downs, etc) that Rozeboom, but on the stat sheet, they both had 100 tackles.  In fact, Rozeboom's inefficiency kept him on the field more (more first downs, fewer OL penalties, turnovers, and punts) so he should have MORE tackles.   I would like to see stats that break down those things.   For example again, Josh Norman was slow--4.68 or so at CB.  However, his anticipation speed was incredible.  He made as many plays as a 4.4 CB.  I had one coach (college--later became the head coach at WCU) tell me that slower players have to use their brains more to still be around.  Elite athletes can just get by on their physical superiority.  He added, "Rarely does a football player run full speed.  Most of the time, they are not, so the 40 time is misleading stat.  Smart players overcome shortcomings--when the elite athlete becomes average (slows with age, advances in level of competition) they struggle against smarter (football IQ) competition.
    • Obviously tongue in cheek hyperbole. But we do not need a first round RB to compete for a championship. We need intelligent roster building. That to me is the complete opposite of intelligent roster building because it is a prime resource at a devalued plug and play position when we have needs across the defense.
