Horn doesn't give up those TDs and we would have won it ugly last time.   How many times has asking Bryce to do some early lifting put us in big holes?  I just don't see why.  If the goal is purely to win. 

but overall, yeah, I don't like watching that brand of football.  

but yeah, I think it is best in theory to ask Bryce to be legit QB attack what the Saints are daring him too.  But that's generally not what Dave does w/ Bryce.  He knows.  Every once in a while he forgets (SF) because of the annual Falcons game.  But I do think their is a formula Canales knows is the way.

It’s weird, but I don’t feel like the Panthers have a real rival present day.

I grew up in South Mississippi; saints territory. We may feel they’re a rival, but they don’t see us as one. They only care about the falcons, and likewise the falcons. Here in ATL, you know when the saints are in town.
 

I agree with @CRA. Doesn’t seem we really have one at the moment. During the Cam years, it started to bubble between us and the saints, and us and the Seahawks

I'm ready to believe, but my money says we're right back in second place after Sunday's game... I just don't have faith in Bryce Young.  I am also extremely worried with the return of Mike Evans.  Mike Jackson is going to need some safety help when we play the Bucs.  We know they won't line Evans up against Horn, and they won't let Horn play man on Evans, so I expect Evans to have two huge games.  We are still very, very much in the woods.

Yeah, the Sean Payton Saints were.  That was driven off the players we and them had, coaches like Payton, fights and the games. 

I’m just saying, present day there just isn’t that feeling that exists for me with any team.  No bad blood and no personalities or moments drive anything with the present day rosters.  Feel like we are waiting for a modern day rivalry to naturally manifest somewhere.

Mike Evans looked a billion times better than I was expecting last night.

We are something like 1-8 or 1-9 with the Bucs the last few years.  Can’t have a rivalry with that kind of relationship. Not much different with the other teams.

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
