Also the fact that his blunders tend to be magnified because they tend to occur when we're competing in games we honestly probably shouldn't be. Getting burned or committing penalties in crucial situations is honestly starting to become quite the trend for him. It's criminal he's going to the Pro Bowl and Derrick Brown isn't.

He is tied for team lead with 9 total penalties, 7 accepted.

Hilariously, he is tied with Xavier Legette with the 9 total penalties. That's truly unbelievable.

We made him the highest paid DB in history 😂

He sold that whole drive following the penalty, too. Other big completion to JSN was his poor coverage, and then tried to give them a DPI in the end zone which we are fortunate the refs didn’t call otherwise SEA scores a TD instead of a FG.

He’s the son of a division rival. I’d be fine trading him to rot in that swamp like his father. We’ve got the 3rd highest paid corner in the league performing like a jag most of the season, and worse in the most critical games, and we’ll get the privilege of paying him a pro bowl bonus too since clearly nobody watches Panthers football if Jaycee Horn is in and Derrick Brown isn’t.

His dad played for both the Saints and Falcons.

I just don't think he's as good as some of us want him to be.

But, to be fair, that seems to be how we are with other players too, so it's not just him. Wait until we pay our LT that struggles in pass protection, and our QB that struggles in breaking triple digits in yards.

One flag per every 3.5 catches and 38 receiving yards is something. Not something good but something.

No starting CB in the NFL, hell probably not even major college ball makes that mistake at THAT time with that down and distance.

It’s beyond belief that one of the highest paid corners in the league grabs a face mask on 3rd and forever, with the wideout near the sideline, down 7 about to get the ball back with the playoffs on the line. FOH

In fairness to Ikey, he seems to be trending steadily upward. His penalties have been cut to 50% of his career average(5 versus the 10.3 career average) and although his sacks allowed are up to 5 this year, that is still below his career highs. I am far, far less concerned with guys like Horn or Ikey than I am Bryce. That's a real, immediate issue.

The 1st facemask that wasn't called that JJ Watt was raving over I wasn't sure was completely his fault. Receiver got his hand up in Horn's mask first while he was reaching out trying to get a hold of him. He should have been called for the horse collar though. The second one, yeah, that was bad. And the DPI in the end zone could have been called all day long.

I think Bryce exacerbates Icky's issues. Having a QB that is reluctant to step up into the pocket is a problem. There's only so many places to push a guy. A pash rusher from that side doesn't have to really worry about Bryce stepping up into the pocket to throw too often or keeping containment because his eyes can stay on Bryce the whole time.

He gas gotten very ‘handsy’ lately with the face masks

he missed a game or two  with a concussion   He had not seemed the same in return

nothing would surprise me

Young getting his payday is way more of a concern.

I would be able to care less about the upcoming Ikey payday if it wasn't for a premium position, that protects another premium position.

Like if it were a safety, hey it's ok, we can work with it, bit of a liability in coverage, that's why he is a safety.

I think we end up paying a ridiculous absurd amount of money for his services.

I think that is a symptom of his overall tackling issues this season. He really needs to buckle down and make that a priority to fix this offseason. If he can be a sure tackler, it elevates him to being much closer to a truly elite CB.

He should be in man on a team with an actual pass rush. I think scheme fit is an issue with a player like Horn. He likes to be aggressive. Course that doesn’t help not drawing a penalty but it can’t be easy covering the field for the worst pass rush in the league.

Nothing really unbelievable about that when you look at player penalties
