Canales is holding us back

He hasn't been good. I honestly don't know if he's fit for being a head coach. In my opinion, he's too damned conservative when he should be aggressive, and at many times he is too aggressive when he should be taking points. Now I know Bryce is easy to blame for that, but I suspect that Dave is just not that creative. I'll withhold final judgment until after 2026 (assuming he is here).

That's fuging holding you back!!!

He’s a young head coach. Neither he nor this team are really ready for this yet. We have overachieved this season. I expect some of this inconsistency to turn around next year.

Not sure what many HCs can do more than Canales has done while being handicapped with Bryce.

The issue is that it's the other way than this. Canales is the one calling plays. You can't blame Bryce when he's given poo to work with.

If Canales thinks he is being held back because of BY.. then BY shouldn’t be our starting QB next year, it’s that simple.

Do we keep forgetting that the HC should pick his QB and DC? Bryce and Evero are holding Canales back, and we can't judge a HC who has shown promise with one arm and one leg tied behind his back. Evero and Bryce were Reich picks, but I think we all know Tepper forced them on Reich too.

I'm not sold on Canales, but I see enough promise to want to know what he can do with his QB and DC.

I would guess 40% of offensive production this year has come in the 4th quarter, measure that however you want. That just feels about right.

this happens because that’s when defenses get tired and the all crossing route offense takes off.

Saints didn’t get tired today because their offense was able to play keep away better than the panthers.

Canales offense is just like what it was when he was coming up through Seattle. They want to do everything to keep it close, wait for the other defense to get tired, and tried to pull something out of their ass. They just couldn’t move the ball enough today to wear the saints down, and they could.

this is not an endorsement of Canales and I think he’s a complete fraud, for the record.
