Bryce Young is the first Panthers QB to throw for 20+ touchdowns in a season since Cam Newton in 2018.

It's very stark when you're bouncing around Panthers spaces online where everyone is happy and celebrating and then coming back here where a thread with a positive stat about Bryce made people angry.

The Huddle might as well be a division rival board at this point with as much as you guys hate Bryce and this team.

Pointing out Bryce Young isn't the guy is not hating on Bryce much less the team. It's just reading the signs and watching the games.

Both Bryce stans and Bryce haters resort to hyperbole so often, its tiring.

Bryce Young played a Bryce Young game. It wasn’t special. It wasn’t great. It was just Bryce.

it was one of his best games he has ever played.  compared to a normal nfl qb it was an average game but average is the high bar for young.  b young is a 150 yd passer 1 td 1 turnover but sometimes u luck up get 2 tds and almost 200 yards with no turnovers but those days are rare.  honestly was amazed he had so many attempts and no turnovers.  its become obvious they are doing the 5th year just really hope they bring in real competition

Okay swing and miss you were a cam lover, what about the rest?

Cam Newton had off games. His footwork and his accuracy were maddening at times. But Cam Newton in his prime was never in danger of waking up one morning and being 5'9 185 pounds.

I like most people here just want a franchise QB. I'll take whatever I can get. If Bryce somehow by miracle becomes the guy so be it I'm on board. But he isn't one morning going to wake up 5 inches taller and more muscular. He is always going to be working from a disadvantage from a physical standpoint. And as long as that exists in some capacity it is going to be more challenging to consistently win with him let alone get up and over the playoff hump. These are just realities that have to be grappled with.

People can blast Evero every week, Leggette every week, defenders every week…..and it’s not hating the team.  It’s wanting to get better.

Bulk of the Bryce “hate” is simply knowing decisions are coming and have to be made……and we want the team to have a higher ceiling and be better.

The difference in perception IMO also resides in the fact that many of these Panthers fans are more recent fans and haven't seen the best days of Delhomme and Newton. Those who have tend to be more realistic about the current trajectory. And at the end of the day this team is very up and down and has been all season. I mean this very nice and well needed win followed us being swept by the lowly Saints. Nothing wrong with glass half full or glass half empty until the team finishes the season strong and actually follows up a win with meeting or exceeding expectations the following week. That's what we are waiting to see.

That makes it even worse. There's no chance they can review each play with enough angles to give accurate grades

Yep, you can’t grade every player on the field live.  Hell, you can’t even see every player on the broadcast.

Yeah I guess that makes sense, but how anyone who actually was around to watch Cam play is advocating for someone consistently bottom tier on every meaningful metric is beyond me. Bryce stans are basically trying to convince people Blake Bortles is Mahomes actually.

Much love to Bryce. He looked good today. As for him being our 2nd best QB, I’d hold off on that. He’s not better than Jake yet IMO

Jake?? When did Bryce pass Beuerlein?

No one’s saying Bryce is as good as Mahommes.
