Bryce Young is the first Panthers QB to throw for 20+ touchdowns in a season since Cam Newton in 2018.

Again how is it that before arriving in NY Robbie had a career year, the same goes for in Carolina than as soon as Darnold becomes his QB his numbers submarines on both teams? Just coincidence I guess lol.

It’s not about tearing down Tmac is about the fact that DJ was a superior WR. His abilities lend themselves more to a true number 1 WR. Tmac is a fine rookie WR but he’s not on DJ level

This an example of DJ creating immense  separation that Tmac can’t

Im with you TMac will be a great 1b we still need to find that 1a imo

21 TDs to only 9 INTS this season. Do you even watch the game?

25th ranked O

26th ranked pass attack

27th in scoring

The Panthers don’t generate much offense with Bryce.   It’s low ceiling offense.

If Matt would have just named a Baker the starter during training camp, I bet we play well enough to save his job. Splitting the reps was never going to get Baker enough reps to get ready for the start of the season.

Like I said, Rhule was a joke. He just tried to grab a QB and hope for instant success. Development was never in his wheelhouse. Why he was brought back for year 3 only  to be fired 5 games in was always a mystery.

And what does any of that have to do with the guy complaining about all the interceptions Young throws?

was talking career stats.  i have watched him for 3 years hope he proves me wrong but his career average is who he is in my eyes a below average nfl qb.  and his stats this year compared to all nfl qbs shows him as a below average nfl qb.

Career stats are useless for assessing how someone is playing the current season.

What else happened at the end of the 2020 season? How did Darnold continue to plague him in Arizona, Miami, Washington? Or could it be that once he was paid... Then things started to change?

As to DJ vs TMac, we'll see how it goes. I think you may be underplaying TMac's ability to get separation. He frequently gets open, sometimes very open. He's averaging 2.7 yards of separation this year; DJ averaged 2.6 in 2019, 2.5 in 2020, 2.7 in 2021, and 2.8 in 2022. DJ is faster, but TMac is very fast too. DJ is more explosive but TMac's size gives him real potential to be a true #1. He looks better than DJ did as a rookie, but who knows what'll happen in future seasons.

He got old, it happens to every receivers especially deep ball specialists like Anderson. That doesn’t change the fact coming off his two best season as soon as Darnold arrives his numbers plummet.

That separation stat is subjective, the film I posted isn’t. DJ has no DB 5 yards within his vicinity in a bunch of those clips, TMac isn’t running away from anybody. Of course he looks better as rookie he more polished than DJ coming out Maryland. DJ high end was always better, that’s why Tmac had a lot question coming out of Arizona they knew his floor was a solid WR. I firmly believe you give Bryce speed WR like DJ and Robbie his numbers would be much better and so would this offense

You know when career stats matter? When they are voting for the HOF. Other than that nobody gives a crap except fantasy football fans.

The best part about his career stats are that they are getting better. And with a bend but not break defense that allows 11 minute drives coupled with a run first and often offense where are these massive passing numbers gonna come from.

The most obvious fact that is overlooked by the perpetual doom-and-gloom children.

Finally someone else who understands this.

How is he supposed to get volume stats when the D is giving up consecutive 7 minute drives and they’re force feeding the rb despite them getting 3 yards a carry?
