Pro Bowl is largely irrelevant players dont even want to play it anymore

It's about the cash payout, which is around $100,000, and the further earnings that can come from endorsements when they can add "NFL pro-bowler" under the name, and future contract earnings.

Otherwise yes, no one wants to play in the game or gives a hoot about it.

True hopefully he gets all pro to make up for it, but if he doesn't he will probably get an alternate nod

We all know he deserves it but it was also pointed out that he’d need to post 7 or more sacks prior to selection in order to get the recognition.  Hes got 5.  He’ll probably end up with 6-7.

Doesn't matter tho, we know what we got.

2 of the others who made it have 3.5 combined

I’m not familiar with the escalators in his deal.  I know they get paid something like 40k - 90k depending on winning or losing.

We as fans don't give a fug about it and know that it's a popularity contest. For players it's a significant work bonus.

I don't understand what you are advocating for with this.

No Probowl? No monetary reward? More money? Keep as is? Make them play? Change something up?

It's more of a party in recent years with some pretty entertaining activities for viewers. Shows the players having fun and competing in skills

MUCH better than playing a real game without anything on the line.

He'll probably be an All-Pro which is way more prestigious anydamnway

Yes - but apparently he actually did finish top 3 in fan voting, so it was players / coaches that excluded him.  Wild

    • Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.
    • agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.
    • Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
