We're better than we've been in a long time, but there's a lot of work to be done.

Outside of other Bryce Young teams, every other recent iteration of the Panthers would likely beat this squad in a best of 3.

No us hating the division title.  But not popping champagne over a default title the freaking Falcons won a losing team is also a position that can be taken.

We didn't win our division. Another team had to win it for us. 8-9 record. Only 5 teams in modern SB era have won a division title with a losing record, all NFC, 3 from the NFCS, and Carolina being the only 2 time winner. We have the crown but we didn't win it. At least 1, possibly 2 teams with winning records, if Detroit wins, eliminated from playoffs. We're in the playoffs but let's not pretend like Bryce spearheaded a juggernaut Pathers team to a dominant divisional title.

Offense is worse than last year across the board. Per Mike Kaye:

#Panthers' offense in 2024 vs. 2025:

PPG: 20.1 (22nd) vs. 18.3 (will finish in bottom 7)

YPG: 298 (29) vs. 295.6 (27th, will almost certainly finish in bottom third)

Passing yards per game: 187.5 (30th) vs. 179.3 (26th, will almost certainly finish in bottom third)

Rushing yards per game: 110.5 (18th) vs. 116.3 (20th, will probably finish mid-tier)

Third down%: 36.02 (26th) vs. 36.10% (25th, will probably finish around there)

Fourth down%: 46.6% (26th) vs. 67.5% (4th, likely to finish top 4-6)

RZ%: 62% (9th) vs. 53.3% (25th, likely to finish in bottom third

The only thing that matters is wins, right?

This ain't fantasy football.

And yeah, losing record. But playoff berth, backed in but still there. And more wins than we've had in a long while.

It ain't all roses, but don't act like its all horseshit.

    • Only thing I really see it doing is possibly making Tepper listen if a different play caller can't run the offense because of limitations. New hire, someone who hasn't been watching Bryce for the past 3 years up close may be able to talk some sense if he sees that he isn't able to get the job done.

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
