I don't think McCarthy is the worst possible hire they could have made but if he couldn't get it done with multiple teams in the NFC he's doomed in the AFC with a rebuilding Steelers and no viable long term QB.

I can't stand Steelers fans in general but especially the local bandwagon ones around here so this is hilarious.

McCarthy has one SB ring from 15 years ago and he had Favre, Rodgers, and Prescott as his QBs. Let's see how he does with semi-retired Rodgers or Will Howard as his QB...

That seems like a weird hire for Pittsburgh. They don't usually do retreads, and you expect whoever they hire to stick around for 10-15 years.

The steelers fans who chanted fire Tomlin because of his lack of success in the playoffs recently are getting what they deserve with McCarthy. Tomlin was getting teams to the playoffs with the corpses of Big Ben, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, the law firm of Trubisky/Pickett/Rudolph/Fields. Good luck getting that out of McCarthy

I cannot imagine chasing off Mike Tomlin to turn around and hire Mike McCarthy. LOL

After drafting Pickett in the 1st and now this, the Steelers seem to get slipping hard as an overall organization.

I mean the only thing I can see is he good with QBs and they haven’t had one in forever.
