Let it out, you will feel better. I don’t have that passion for poo like that. Only shitty QBs.
But if I tell you again why they took him over McConkey, people will again deny it. You might. It was always “mental gymnastics to defend Morgan” so I could just skip that and go directly jabbing needles into my eyes.
It was Bryce related and specifically Bryce and AT related and instant results related. It was not done with any kind of long term planning in mind. That’s courtesy of the owner IMDAO.

I don't agree with that. McConkey was clearly the far better match for Bryce. They just had this idea of having a big, athletic X receiver to blow the top off. Unfortunately, he has almost zero ability to do that.

And they didn’t want to drop AT. They thought they could add to him.
But the pressure was on for weapons.

I really, really agree with this. Why do you have a big, athletic guy with reach competing with the sidelines when he could do a better job in the center of the field or running the opposite seam to the TE?

we really dont throw those routes very often. if you look at most of BY throws they are underneath or to the boundaries.

Maybe getting a big receiver out there that can be seen over the o-line might change that a bit...

He missed a lot of time. Was slow getting back up to speed. And we have an offense that is not exactly WR friendly so his targets were low.
How many targets does anyone get when you have 120 yards passing, 54 yards passing, 160 yards, most of the time? It probably took the time it needed to take.

True, but I think XL would have gotten the nod even if Coker had never gotten hurt. They seemed to have him pegged as playing the slot IIRC. That was never the right move, IMO.

what are they gonna get?  a 2048 7th rounder?

Just keep him, hes cheap, maybe he can become something.  Prob not but they are not gonna get anything for him so might as well be patient and see if the light comes on.  Sometimes WRs to figure it out in year 3.

I'm fine with keeping him as a 4th/5th WR for depth purposes if all we can get is like a 7th rounder or something. But he is a recent 1st round pick and still has the physical tools so it's possible a team that liked him coming out of the draft will be willing to give up a 4th, 5th or 6th.

Remember, we managed to get a 4th rounder for Jonathan Mingo.

Whose gonna see over the oline to see him?😂😂 . That we would have to be Shaq 😂

Seriously though, I think we need a playmaking TE. And a QB willing to throw the slant, post and dig

That is my gripe. Ladd would struggle here too with our QB limitations. He is playing with Warren Moon, with Joe Gibbs as coach, compared to what our WRs deal with. People will say this in another thread and then immediately come back to flip out in a Legette thread. I've seen XL be open haven taken the top off a two high safety look and there is just no way that Bryce can or will make that throw. The same people still talking about Ladd should might as well keep bringing up Stroud. Moreso than him being this brainless moron, I feel like there is no place for XL here with this QB. His 90yds in the Atlanta game and his small sample size of play with Dalton proves the guy isn't useless. A lot of things would look a lot different for a lot of people in our organization if the signal caller was different. Since it isn't, XL is just one more thing for guys to be mad at.

Can't argue with you there.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
