Rico Dowdle sounds like he’s gone

Recommended Posts

I don’t much care if Rico leaves, I only ever saw it as a one year stay.
I feel like we can go into camp with what we have minus Rico plus Brooks.
If Brooks doesn’t look good enough early to compliment Chuba, there will be guys out there to fill in. And we don’t know what Etienne will look like, maybe he can step up and we won’t need as much to take up Brooks’ slack.

I suppose the long shot outcome is Brooks looks great and then you are down to whether you want to trust the repair job holding up.

the main thing to me is to take care of the OL because they are your run game.

RE: Brooks

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

He ended 2 seasons with ACL injuries and was an injured scratch before this season even started. We're damned fools if he's any part of our offensive plans for next year.

I wonder if Brooks will come back 100% and also question the chance of him getting reinjured agan? Thoughts please.

I think everyone should forget Brooks exists.  If he ever becomes relevant that's just a massive bonus.

you can't make plans off the fact anomalies exist.  Brooks is rostered.  Hopefully he can make a comeback and relevant.  But him doing that can't really be part of your plan.

I was just showing a counter point to the poster that stated  we be “damned fools if he’s any part of our offensive plans next year”

Yeah but Thomas Davis was a first round talent, who could have easily went Top 10 or even Top 5. He was crazy athletic. That happening after those injuries is like a 1 in a 1000 chance,

I can’t imagine what Davis would have been without those knee injuries

He’s out here fussing with fans. I think he may be as retarded as XL. Calling out your line for yards before contact when your yards after contact is nearly the worst in the league.

Leaving the team by blaming the OL is a sure fire way to make friends with his new team! Idiot

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
