Bryce = Alex Smith

What are you even talking about smith was 6’4 220 😂 why does your memory tell you he was small

He was considered small back then. Brees was thought to be a midget.

Everything has been skewers by Kyler and now bryce.

alex smith did have really small hands. Like the kind of small hands you hope your girlfriend has to boost your ego.

whatever arm he had, he wouldn't pull the trigger.  He was the Teddy B's brother from another mother.

I only really vaguely remember watching him with SF, seems like it was all WCO.

He was not considered small back then. I have no idea where you are getting this.

The "facts" of his limitations are severely overblown.

I think Bryce is going to be elite.

Pick your jaws up.  I'll qualify.  I don't "know" that he will reach that status and if forced to give him a contract now I would not.  He has up to 2 years to continue to grow and prove he can consistently play at a high level.

Did you watch the end of the Rams playoff game along with the rest of us?

Soon to be 38 year old Matthew Stafford with a bum hand went right down the field to take the lead and they kept all 3 timeouts. Bryce Young had 4 chances to get the ball into the hands of one of his receivers and threw one borderline catchable ball.

Injecting the word elite into any conversation about Bryce is at this point sheer insanity.

While I'm not the biggest Bryce Young fan, BY's first 3 season's beats Alex Smith's first 3 seasons' out the water, as hard that is to fathom, and it's not even particularly close (even factoring injuries).

This is a fair point, but I think people are forgetting just how bad the 49ers were back then.  They were getting a top 5 pick every year for like a decade. Alex Smith was selected by the worst team in football. Bryce Young MADE US the worst team in football.  Huge difference.

    • Ehlers needs to sit. Definitely can't lose him to a meaningless game.
    • Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying
    • I don't think it's at all a given that we have players who are good at driving the basket. I guess that depends on your definition. Bridges is 43rd in attempts in the paint Miller is 64th and LaMelo is 66th. We all love to see the lob threat but it's largely miniscule at this point in time. There's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who consistently can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
