The issue isn't on the field, it's off. Evidently the guy just absolutely cannot show up for meetings on time and is probably having other types of maturity/dedication type issues as well.

He's ass on the field too

I think everyone kinda knew that ship had sailed at this point.

But yeah... actively poo talking a player currently on the roster in a presser basically insinuating that the pick played a role in the coach being fired not a great look. LOL

Pegula hadn’t done a press conference in 5 years, maybe there was a reason for that. Then Beane had to backpedal after he jumped in…

Keon Coleman was "my pick," Bills GM Brandon Beane clarified. Expressed belief in Coleman and said it's the team's job to continue to develop the young wide receiver. Coleman's issue is off the field, Beane said, and the GM appreciated the WR never making excuses.”

Maybe they aren’t planning on him being there.  Haven’t watched them, how bad is he?

Has had issues with professionalism and hasn’t been good when on the field. Still, he was a high second round pick and has 2 years left on his rookie deal. Still, Pegula basically tanked any trade value he could have had, even though it’s probably not much.  Keep in mind that Dan Morgan got a 4th rounder for Jonathan Mingo who was far worse on the field - I doubt they’d get anywhere close to that value now if they planned on getting rid of him.

Good on Beane for that. Maybe the owner is just a mouth breathing moron. lol

I think it’s pretty clear he is. He cut off beane when he was going to answer the question about Keon to blame McDermott and the coaching staff for picking him. And then said one of the reasons he fired McDermott was after seeing Josh Allen crying in the locker room after the game. Everyone talks about Buffalo being an attractive job because of Allen, but I’d have to reconsider after hearing the owner pretty much telling you that’s he acting quickly on emotions and is giving all credit for success to the GM instead of the coach who helped guide them to the playoffs for the first time in 17 years (with Tyrod Taylor at QB) and 7 out of the next 8 years. Just a really bad look all around.

    • I suspect the Vegas win total line will be around 7.5
    • I feel ya. The only thing I really disagree with is the catch. I have listened to plenty of analysis, have seen stills and of course video. I will never believe it was a catch, as Cooks did not secure the ball, which allowed the receivers hands in there and snatch the ball away. That wasn't a running situation. Knee down on the ground and ball in hands does not count. The process of the catch was not over. As far as OT, it is what it is. That's why it's a team sport. The D let him down in 13 seconds.
    • The hyperbole is amusing but ultimately nobody cares about press conferences. The Texans seem to be a fairly well ran organization with a solid coaching staff. If they're smart they'll buy low on Stroud and keep a backup plan. The rest of the roster around the QB is plenty capable. And as the playoff picture has shown this past year it doesn't take much to get into the dance for them. Remember when folks here were clowning them for having 2 wins early in the season? They still won another playoff game while we're still trying to get over the hump. As far as playoff meltdowns go. Sam Darnold had a meltdown against the Rams in the playoffs as the Vikings QB a year ago and most of us laughed our asses off at him and now he's a game away from the Super Bowl with the Seahawks while the Vikings sunk back to joke status. It's an unpredictable league.
