What if Bryce hits 4000 yards and 30 TDs? Would that be sufficient? Should that be the goal this season?

I don't know if the team will be good enough to win 9+ games this season.

No it isn't but it's a start to determining whether or not he's worth extending. The worst thing we can have is inconsistentcy. If he's consistently progressing, even if he has a turd of a game every now and again, that's something you can judge and measure. Up and down games every other week make it impossible to do and we certainly can't pay 40m or more a season for that.
