these agents are only as good as their connections, they wouldnt burn an entire team for a few more dollars at least not like that

At the end of the day it’s the player’s choice

but I don’t see it going that route

Said it in the general thread, if this poo collapses we go get Crosby.
Raiders might have to release him. People have made their moves.

Here we are. Go get him, for less than Phillips because we would have all the leverage.

They knew before they agreed to the trade that he had just had surgery and still agreed to it.

A torn meniscus is far from a career threatening injury. It's pretty clear they got cold feet and used the "failed physical" as an excuse.

There are different levels of menicus surgery and he had one with a longer recovery time than originally thought

The Ravens are scummy for pulling a move like this. The "failed physical" story is just some save face BS and the whole league knows it. The whole NFL knew Crosby just had a knee procedure done and you felt comfortable enough a couple days ago to send 2 first for the guy. This implies that the Raiders withheld medical information from them which I highly doubt they did especially with 2 first being on the table. Are the Ravens expecting us to believe that they gave the Raiders 2 first without having Crosbys full medical records?

They saw that Trey Hendrickson's market wasn't as active as they thought so they deiced to work on a deal with him instead and save their 2 first. If I'm the Raiders GM, I'd be absolutely livid right know cause not only did they mess up the contact situation with the free agents the Raiders have agreed to terms with, but you've severely hurt the market for Max Crosby by "failing" him on a physical.

The Ravens had buyer's remorse and decided to screw the Raiders

Hard to say the Ravens did dirty until Crosby actually returns to play. Brooks was supposed to be healthy too and went months past his anticipated return date. If Crosby hasn't progressed as much as projected, it could definitely create cold feet. Like I said, no one will really know until he actually returns to the field.

Reminds me of the Lakers doing this exact thing to the Hornets last season.

thats the sad part they are getting fuged in this because Maxx is worth less now

They better hope there's a bidding war for him. It could cause them to have to back out of some of their own deals. I can't say as I've ever seen a situation like this before.

Yea I’m not gonna pass judgement. “Failed physical” is a misnomer. There’s no such thing as a failed physical. The Ravens checked out his knee and got his medical records and said nah, the risk isn’t worth two first round picks and his massive salary at his age

This is exactly what happened.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
