I definitely want a DT as versatile as McD. (Trade back) I am not into McNeil-Warren because I (for some reason) see him as a run stuffer more than a center fielder.  Not interested in Sadiq because I think a TE in round 1 is a waste of a first rounder, and I lke Iheanachor, but not round 1.  I think it might be WR or OT--

Curious about how many slots away would remove people's pause with McD or any other selection (Concepcion, Lomu) that has been mocked later than our selection.

This isn't just directed at you either, I see a lot of people (myself included) saying they wouldn't take palyer X at our spot. However, if it were at pick XX, then yes, let's take him.

I also see every year a team that "overdrafts" someone on that night, only to find a franchise building block down the line. Seattle does it a lot.

If a guy is exactly what your team needs and he's, say, 6-8 picks away from being graded/mocked, I don't see the issue. If we're talking about taking a guy like Christen Miller at 19....okay, I get it.

McDonald would unlock so much on our defense up front and lighten DB's workload on the interior. Looking at so many site's and media's "team needs" for us, and rarely (if ever) is IDL on that list. A'Shawn's departure and the lack of depth on our roster is rough. I know Turk is here, but I don't believe well run franchises pass on a first round DL because of a guy like Wharton.

I fully expect Iheanachor to go first round.

I agree that McNeil-Warren may translate to SS in the pros. But he did play in a 2 high def.

as far as Sadiq goes. Not my top choice. But I wouldn’t be angry about it. He’s different than any TE on our roster and if the offense gets creative he can be a versatile weapon.

Interesting fact - Iheananchor has only been playing ball for 5 years.

I am not sure there is a position, including QB, where losing a starter leads to the kind of drop off we would see at either T position. Maybe If Mr Brown went down, or Lloyd.

Yes.  CB too-but I doubt Stone Forsythe is going to stop any more than a WalMart greeter.

Good....now they can start 2027 mocks tomorrow.

I just see us extending Bryce with a ton of guaranteed money and then I see him sucking in 2026--and then we have to draft a QB in 2027.  I guess that is the plan--

Dianna Russini and married Mike Vrabel caught kissing at NYC bar in bombshell new photos — taken 6 years before scandal

It’s ok, Vrabel is apparently skipping the end of the draft for some counseling. Apparently needs a counselor to help him not cheat on his wife. Reminds me of that Bob Newhart sketch from years ago: “STOP IT! That’s all. Just, stop it.”

We don’t necessarily need to use our first to improve that though. I feel like you want near term viability, like this year sometime, you need to take T with your highest pick.

Man oh man. I hope they have one decent brain cell that tells them to wait until after the year to decide on an extension.

I took up for A’Shawn a few times, for some reason people did not appreciate him.  I am a fan of his work, and would be a fan of replacing him with the 1st round pick if there is not a viable OT sitting there. I think it should be a higher priority than WR or TE or just about anything.

It is what’s up front that counts the most when you play good teams. IMO. Either side of the ball.

We really need a blue chip RD 1-2 type DT. Late round guy would be redundant with 25 year old Bobby Brown and a 23 year old Cam Jackson. Blue chipper or sign DJ Reader after the draft.

popular opinion seems to indicate panthers taking Sadiq or Theienman, but I cant find a indication we have met with either of them.  Not just talking top 30, but prodays, combine, zoom, etc.  I might have missed it and things like a zoom might not be announced always.  But, what are odds Morgan would choose someone he hasnt spoken with?

Does anyone know of a meeting?
