During his three years at UGA he only allowed 5 sacks. He is only 21 and is on an upward trajectory. He's a great athlete that was good basketball player in high-school.  His height (76% how is this only 76%???? these guys are giants now), hands (81%), span (99%), speed (96%), quickness (10 yd. 86%), and explosiveness (vert. 96%, broad 97%) are all outstanding.  When we took Freeling, Fano, Mauioga, Proctor, and Miller were all off the board so we could have drafted Iheanachor or Lomu instead or waited to the second or third round to take Bell, Tiernan or Barber or wait even longer.  A lot of these tackles (including the first two taken) project to right tackle or guard in the NFL and that's not what we needed now.  Freeling has some sloppiness to clean up in his run blocking, but he's young and getting better.  We can let him get experience behind Walker and Moton knowing if he has to replace one of the two this year, his pass blocking won't get Bryce killed. Icky's not coming back from that injury as a nfl starting left tackle and Moton is in the twilight of his career.  If Walker has a great year, we will have to pay him a lot and if he is medicore we would want to let him walk.  Getting a LT on a rookie contract is going to help a lot with the cap.

Your name literally says flag football coach.   Godalmighty

Unless every poster on here is either an ex NFL player/GM/ college coach/ D1 player, how does coaching flag make me any less credible than any other poster on this board? Especially trolls like yourself

But let’s talk Monroe Freeling.. Yes, he’s big and fast. He’s also very clumsy and uncoordinated. Always falling over himself or getting thrown to the ground by smaller defenders. His drill combine performance confirmed the same thing I saw on film over and over and.. over. Extremely uncoordinated. Giraffe like. He plays smaller than his size. It doesn’t matter what I say though, I’ll just bump this thread in a year or two when I’m correct. If not, you can bump it and I’ll eat my crow. Deal? I  was right about XL. I was right about T-mac. Im very confident I’ll be right again. KC, Thieneman, Iheanachor would’ve been better picks at our spot. Continue on with your daily trolling since you have no football knowledge. I’ve never actually seen you make an insightful post before.. 99% of your posts are “got ya” one liners, BY hate(only decent take), or stats/RAS scores you get from other people on X, or scouting reports you read. If not, prove me wrong and actually say something insightful about Freeling without mentioning his RAS, size or potential. Sorry to interrupt your daily trolling, continue on clown. I’m sure you have some one-liners to cook up!

I think the combine workout reaction is a bit overstated. He needed a different pair of cleats. For whatever reason, the pair he wore kept causing him to slip. If I was his agent, I would have stopped the workout to prevent injury or to get him a new pair of cleats.

Hopefully you’re right and I’m wrong, but no one else was slipping over and over. If it didn’t happen so much on film it wouldn’t have bothered me. We’ll see what happens though.  Hopefully I’m wrong since I want all of our draft picks to hit. He was just my least favorite player we could’ve taken in that range. Just my opinion. Inb4 someone takes it personal again 😂

So I saw an evaluation on him and they said he was great as Pass-Pro but his run blocking wasn't so hot. IMO learning to run block is much better than having to learn Pass-Pro.  Don't know if the evaluation was accurate but saw it.

thoughts

If this new center can pull the way he did in college I won't be worried about the run blocking on the edges.

We are comparing what ex all pro nfl players at the position are saying to a flag football coach.

For starters "Fetti" is the dumbest twitter panther "fan" in existence.  And there really isnt a close 2nd.  I mean the dude has velcro shoes for fugs sake.  Hes the same dude that keeps getting banned from Twitter.  Do you know how fuging stupid one has to be to be banned multiple times from twitter with once case of him posting child porn?  The moron actually challenges people to meet up and fight if you have a different opinion.   Yes he is that stupid.

As to the video, bro its literally one play from 2 seasons ago.   PU was 22 years old playing in his 5th year of college and Monroe was 19 in his 2nd.  Bit of a difference no?  And if one is trying to make some grandiose point or have judgment of a player from one clip 2 years ago then they are even bigger morons than I even gave them credit for.

SMH. Yep, I was just saying this one play means everything. Combine drills are big to me so someone saying they watched them and he looked like Little out there is concerning. We’ve got people saying he had the wrong cleats on when Indy has turf and has literally hosted every combine I can recall. No one wears the wrong cleats there.

Oh well, I’m a bit more worried about a raw guy because some flag football coach watched the drills and felt similar to how I felt when Little ran drills. Also, by the way, Little was considered a top 15 prospect by all the same ex-NFLers until his combine was so bad and we still took him in the second. Heck, Little was a PFF all star because he gave up 1 sack in his much longer college career.

Little’s athleticism was terrible too so at least Freeling might be able to fix the reaching and falling but I’d rather have heard he killed it on the positional drills instead of looking terrible.

No worries. I liked our draft but hearing someone say he looked bad in the combine drills and this play on X makes me concerned. I watched Little’s combine drills because Marty was supposedly in love and we needed OL and he looked like the Freeling video on every drill. He looked like the worst OL out there so hearing someone say Freeling’s combine drills were bad is a punch in the gut.

Let’s hope it was a bad play and Freeling’s athleticism can get rid of the raw. Little’s RAS score was terrible as well. He completely poo the entire combine. Effin Hurney was so bad at scouting. I don’t care how many 1st rounders he hit. Picking top 10 isn’t hard.
