Round 3: The Carolina Panthers select WR Chris Brazzell II (Tennessee)

I hate these kinds of picks tbh. There’s a premium on skill position players and if you want one that’s going to upgrade your offense you really have to go early, you’re almost always otherwise just adding a JAG, which this offense didn’t need any more of. We were fine at depth at WR. He was part of a record setting run of WRs drafted and I just overall prefer playing the board in the 3rd round at positions that don’t start to come off until later.

theres stuff to like though. He bends and moves a lot better than the other Tennessee wide receivers did and do, hands catcher. He could be very good.

i just hate the ethos of thinking you can “wait until later” to get a perimeter player and then expecting them to come in and be someone they almost always aren’t. Could we have gotten a plug and play safety in the third round? You usually can.

From the Steve Smith video on Brazzel: "I don't trust a Tennessee receiver," "it takes him a while to get going," "He doesn't have the ability to fight off contact," "He doesn't break a lot of tackles and he doesn't make a lot of people miss," "He doesn't like contact."

Steve Smith has been wrong just as much if not more as he's been right in his draft analysis.

At the end of the day this is a 3rd round pick. Considering the potential I cannot complain about the investment. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and grew up a Panthers fan. As long as he's focused on football and not terrible Instagram thot rappers I think he has a good a chance as any of these other receivers in this class of being successful.

And of course the one WR we pick the guy who has been whailing about wide receiver for 2 weeks straight is like nah I'm good. Clown show.

Hey little guy, it’s okay to man up and address someone when you have something to say. Look me in the eye, nope, over here, that’s right, there you go, now you’re talking like a grown up!

Funny thing that wasn't even in reference to you. But I appreciate your desperate attempt at bravado and machismo. You sound like a generic zoomer trash talking on Call of Duty. Enjoy the draft fella!

Oh so who were you so afraid to address? It’s clearly someone. The point stands nerd

Yelling at people about being afraid on the internet before 8 am on a Saturday lol

Sounds like you need some sobriety in your life. Best of luck with that.

Hes a third round pick that will play a role on offense, not be a WR1 alpha.
