Steve Smith has been wrong just as much if not more as he's been right in his draft analysis.

That's really bull. Smitty openly says--like other top analysts--that a lot of a receiver's success or failure depends upon where he goes. Believe it or not, things like coaching, the situations that the receiver is put in and how they are used, and coaches' and FO's patience, etc. can make or break guys.

Funny thing that wasn't even in reference to you. But I appreciate your desperate attempt at bravado and machismo. You sound like a generic zoomer trash talking on Call of Duty. Enjoy the draft fella!

Well who was it in reference to? Why not just outright say it? It's a little early to play those types of games as well.

In general, just like with every position, fans don't have to like the actual pick, even if they did "scream" for the position for two weeks or two years.

This is supposed to be a place for serious football discussion, not potshot drive-bys half the time.

Brazzell's skills and fit will be addressed whether you feel it's warranted or not.

I mean, so Smitty doesn't necessarily cotton to Vol receivers, many analysts don't. Their system makes for a harder evaluation due to receivers' decidedly limited roles. Matt Harmon calls the offense in reference to receivers "Looney Tunes," so Smitty isn't the only one.

The cold hard fact is is that Brazzell has more to work at than many, considering his elementary route tree. He's likely going to have to get his weight up so that his play strength becomes satisfactory at an NFL level, otherwise he'll be knocked off his route at the line and taken out of the play consistently (which will lead to a lack of patience on the coaches' parts, which will slowly lead to washing out and an early exit). I would like to see him at least be a legit "sacrificial X" at the very least, but he really needs to do more. I think that his ceiling is the Z--I'm hoping--but I think that we can forget the slot. The kid has just got a ton of work to do.

If we can get more Georgia game, and that being on a consistent basis, then we'll be ahead of the game.

It was very clearly in reference to your posting for the last 2 weeks. Anyone who has read the huddle knows this. You've made it abundantly clear to anyone inside the immediate area of 704 that you want a WR. Nobody is hiding from anyone.

Let's get this kid into camp and then begin dissecting his game.

Horn Jr is fast and shifty.  I feel he was underutilized last season.  Hopefully he gets more burn this season.  With the big body guys stepping up in Tet, Coker, now CB2, it will allow JHJ to do more both over the top, on option routes, and after the catch.

edit: I also forgot we signed Metchie, but I’m still riding with JHJ.  I hope he wins that battle.  But either of those guys can be that shifty guy to attack the nickel from the slot.

Horn Jr. looked pretty terrible in the opportunities he did get. Lost and indecisive, and for all the talk about his speed and agility he didn’t seem to have the ability to consistently run away from the defense or make players miss. Turns out he was available in the 6th round for a reason. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he doesn’t make the roster.

Blah blah blah, Frank, you love your trolling. You're like that dude who loves to keep things going by saying little poo here and there.

Basically, you seem to enjoy trolling more than any convincing analysis. That's what you've become the Huddle's Craig Jones and Smokey.

You do know that screaming for a position to be addressed and then immediately complaining isn't exactly a coherent form of "analysis" right?

He's just so small and limited

Oh, here's the other one. At least Frank does say something worth listening to when he wants to. You just don't seem to have the capacity to understand nuance, so I can't take you seriously.
