So is Legette getting traded?

I would say we wouldn't get anything for him in a trade, but we found 1 team stupid enough to trade us a 4th for Mingo.

I don't think they trade him though, barring an offer like that, but they won't pick up his option and just let him walk after year 4. Will he not be nearly 30 at that point anyway?

I'd try to trade XL for something (anything) and it's time for coach favorite Moore to be sent packing.

I agree with Moore but honestly if he doesn’t suit up but 10 games and contributes it’ll be better than trading him for a 4-7 rounder. Cooker pops a hammy we'll need him to step right in. He may be down the depth cart but it’s prob better to have him than a random 6th round practice squad LB. It’s such a long and brutal season quality depth is needed we just hate that it’s our 1st rounder that’s depth to a undrafted guy but that’s how it played out.

Was listening to a podcast a couple days ago and they were talking about how Canales said he wanted to use Legette after he was drafted and he hasn’t followed through with any of it. Not saying they were right, but it was an interesting take I hadn't heard before.

I never thought they used him right.

I honestly think Tremayne looks more promising than XL.

T Mac

coker

Brazell

are locks

I put Tremayne as a near lock they really like him a lot and he adds a lot

So that leaves two spots for Moore, Horn, metchie and XL

If had to guess right now Metchie gets cut, they try to stash away Horn on the PS and XL and Moore are on the team

Trade him.  Trying to find him reps on game days will be pointless.  Why have a former first rounder sit on the bench?  I would even take a future day 3 pick or player-for-player swap.

We just drafted his clone. I thought if we went WR, it would be for a pure slot guy.  The fact that we went out and drafted a player in what we thought we had in XL is very telling.

He's not going anywhere.

In large part because there's probably no one offering anything of value. If the only thing you can get in return is a conditional late rounder or something of that nature then yeah, we're probably better off just bringing him in for another camp and see if he put in the work to improve this offseason.

I think he should get 1 more year to prove himself

Yeah. If he is a dumbass again in the same areas he will have proven to me that he cannot get even the basics.
I don’t see the talentless nincompoop others see, I see a talented nincompoop that is struggling to live up to his job description.
You can’t blame his mental shortcomings, spatially and awareness wise on anyone but him but Bryce does him no favors.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I’d like to see him and Brazzell lined up together.  Two guys with speed and tall that defenders have to choose between.

TMac will draw the most attention and I would say Coker next.

The pressure Brazzell and XL would potentially stir up if the route concepts are drawn up correctly could open up one of them. Early on, XL’s experience would benefit him if he just catches the ball and taps his feet.

One of the two would bait the defense and force their hand.
