Blows my mind how you could watch that Ohio State Georgia game and not take CJ. He's regressed but I think it's in part to them giving him the Cam and Burrow treatment of gutting their O-line

CJ took a career LOW number of sacks last year. But the year before he took 53 or something like that. It's the problem I saw with him in college. If he gets hit or thinks he's going to get hit, he sees ghosts. I maintain that the Georgia game was a fluke. Bryce's shortcomings are physical, CJ's are mental. It was like this pre-draft. It continues to be true now.

Yeah well we've already been through that with Sam and Baker. I know which road I'd prefer to go down if the choice is mental vs physical. Also I don't buy that Bryce has some super processor. Only thing he seems to process quickly is when he knows he can't physically make a throw so throws the ball away instead of risking an int

Tepper, even tho the team.....after 8 season finally seems moving in the right forward plane.

You could also make a choice about changing the HC when you had prime Cam, Olsen, Gross, KK, Luke, TD, Star, pre-gun hardy, Norman, Jstew, Dwill, Turner, White Buffalo, Smitty in order to win 1-3 SBs but RR like Fox was missing the SB gene...broncos knew it and .....ugh.

First reaction is yeah Bryce processed the hell out of those 4th down throwaways.

You have to go with big boy talent and try and work through the rest. Imagine if we had given Sam 4 years, 3 in the same system, with the same investment in his weapons and protection.

This is my answer.

It was 100% Stoopid then and still now. A 80 year NFL owner makes comments about women and liken tight jeans, so what he now must sell the team, total hogwash. This was a classic of other NFL owners not liking how JR bullys them in owner meetings. No chance Id sell over that nothing burger. Sue me, Id have soooo much blackmail on other owner and the NFL, please lets meet in a public court room for me to share.....Id hire a female lawyer and request she wears skin tight blue jeans for my enjoyment.....

Bryce is undoubtedly mediocre to average at best in processing and decision making. He is in no way shape or form some mini Peyton Manning or a mental savant. And it is absurdly insulting that people are still simultaneously pretending otherwise while insinuating other QB's are basically mental midgets. Like man someone has to be really damn dug in to come post something like that 4 years in. The cope is real folks.

And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂

"If you could change any one instant in Carolina Panther history, ... just ONE, ... what would it be?

Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that

My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble

There were a lot of moments that went like that for us in that one. The cotchery no catch absolutely demolished a promising drive that felt like was leading to points. The sack fumble with Cam came right after that play.

I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
