Who is/will be an 'All time great' thats on our roster right now?

I think the most obvious candidates are Tmac and Derrick Brown. Unfortunately, it seems that Brown is destined to be one of those players that only diehard Panthers fans remember how good he is and won’t get the national recognition. Conversely, I think Jaycee Horn could be one of those players that gets a lot more national recognition and leads to younger fans to remember more fondly than maybe we view him in the moment. I’ll also laugh my ass off if this answer is Bryce Young in 10 years, though he has certainly not been on an all time great trajectory so far.

Moton and Brown already are. Horn could if he becomes more consistent. Hunt if he can stay healthy. Lewis if he continues being good and stays healthy.

I forgot about Moton, he is already our best RT of all time so all time great in that regard. Hopefully Freeling will supplant Jordan Gross, but even just matching Gross would be a huge get for pick #19.

“All-timers” usually stand out early and often.  There really isn’t much wiggle room.  Not many of the greats magically figured it out 3-4 years in.

Franchise greats is another story.  They don’t even have to be all that good to become a legend.  One play or game can make a guy a hometown hero.

When I read the OP I was thinking more of the Franchise than the league but I agree.  To me DB is the only guy right now but I could see TMac being on the list.

gosh no one cares about the OGs...

Id list hunt here too, if not for missing 95% of the season.

Best I can say, Tri Turner was the best OG in panthers history if you factor in career length. Wharton was super solid, but never elite. Norwell while having a 1st all-pro, only played 2.5 starting years.

If lewis stays on the panthers and keeps his play lvl at 2025, his path is right there and easy. In 2028 he could be the best OG in panthers history.

Dang if panthers or NFL don't have long great careers.....its sooo rare.

You are right If you hold people to those guys’ standard - HOF - it’s gonna be crickets.  We need to aim a little lower.

Maybe our team best, like Gross or someone similar would be an all time Panthers great even though the league overlooks him.

I think Steve Smith would be on that list if he didn't annoy the hell out of a lot of people.  Top in receiving yards, top 15 in receptions all time.  And he didn't exactly have Joe Montana or Tom Brady throwing to him.
