Patrick Peterson is having a late surge

In 6-7 years maybe, he's a CB for now regardless of scheme.

But not one that will be utiilized in our system to his full advantage. As a result he won't ever be worth the first pick. We can find someone who will be just as effective in our system later in the draft. it doesn't mean he isn't a great player simply that if we don't use him for man coverage and rely on him in a zone which by all accounts will take some adjustment, he not only will be wasted but won't be able to come in and play at a high level right away. He is really a guy who will be like Godfrey, he will struggle in a zone concept at first and get better with time.

No he isn't. Peterson is two different players pending what he is asked to do. He projects as a better S than CB in a zone scheme......and that ain't 6-7 years down the road.

if we draft Miller we will keep TD and let Anderson walk.

not that it would happen....but I say you would have to keep Anderson and let TD walk. Same reasoning as to why Bob Sanders just got sent packing.

I'm starting to get a very bad feeling that he's going to be the one we ultimately end up picking rather than Cam. Just reading the tea leaves.

Three weeks ago I was pretty sure it was Cam. In the last @2 weeks I get the same feeling you do.

PP is a great pick as well though so no worries. :)

I do not know anything about evaluating NFL prospects, but from my limited pool of knowledge, it seems appearant that PP is the best player in this draft.

The idea of Peterson and Gamble at CB makes me pretty dang happy. I feel any QB with the 1st pick is a reach. If we do decide we need to take a QB, I sure hope we find a way to trade back!

I would walk away from the draft pretty happy with Peterson, Darius, or a qb if we can trade back a few spots. I am going to be slightly dissapointed if we end up taking Cam or Gabbert with the #1 spot
