Because I had a job offer that I took and decided to let them pay for it

Oh yeah.

I've got a buddy who's having his masters in accounting paid for by Barclay's.

Good work if you can get it apparently.

i got a GED early so i could start college early studying music and ended up flunking out of college. went back when i was 26 and started all over studying business and stayed until i got my MBA.

eventually i'll go back and get my doctorate. i don't have much need for it, though, unless i go into teaching.

Nothing better than a free education.

Amen. Wife was talking about getting her MSN in nursing and I encouraged her to explore other options before just "heading back"... now, she has a Director job all but locked up thanks to some creative career positioning, great people around her, and the fact that she is damn good at what she does. On-the-job training with a monster raise and new career level? Yes please.

Now that we have her set, I'll be working my angles :D

If you can't complete a BA in 3.5 years you have no business being in college.

We need to stop rewarding mediocrity and catering the system to the lowest common denominators.

Oh god however will I complete 15 credit hours a semester qq

It's not always the students fault. For a while, at some Cal State schools they put a 13 unit MAX on students due to the cuts.

Not everyone gets to have the financial support you did so some have to work 1 or even 2 jobs while in school to support themselves.

But we'll ignore all that and other factors and say they are stupid!

good for him.

poo I've been here 5 years and still haven't graduated yet...

in my defense, I switched majors 5 times and will admit to not being mature enough to go off on my own the first year or 2 of college though. got my act together now and plan to graduate with a 3.0 (which is remarkable considering how low my GPA was at the end of my sophomore year)

Seriously

I finally got a seat in a class that I should have had 3 semesters ago.

Kinda hard when you need a class along with 120 other people when there's only 35 seats.

    • This is a great episode I am soo excited for this season 😀
    • Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets   The Charlotte Hornets are coming off a promising 2025 NBA Draft class and will enter Summer League with no shortage of new faces looking to make an impression. But the most interesting addition didn’t come from the draft board. Instead, it’s DJ Rodman — the 24-year-old son of Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman — who’s bringing some extra attention to the Hornets’ Summer League roster. Rodman played four years at Washington State before making the move to USC for his final season.  He wasn’t exactly lighting it up with the Trojans, putting up about 6 points, four boards, and an assist each game. But he did shoot well — hitting around 41% from the field and draining 36% of his three-pointers.  Standing 6-foot-6, he’s got the size to play on the wing and offers some versatility, which could be just what the Hornets are looking for as they try to fill out their roster. The Hornets’ Summer League squad already has plenty of fresh faces with this year’s draft picks and young guys fighting for a role. But Rodman’s last name alone is enough to turn heads, and now he’ll get his shot to prove he belongs once the games tip off in Vegas. Charlotte’s Summer League team is already drawing interest with recent draft picks and young players hoping to crack the rotation. But Rodman’s last name — and his potential to bring energy and toughness — adds another layer of intrigue. What Rodman lacks in college stats, he makes up for with hustle and competitiveness — traits his dad was known for throughout his Hall of Fame career. If he can bring that same energy and show growth in Summer League, he could carve out a role and surprise some people. Though the odds are against him making the Hornets’ final roster, there’s no denying the spotlight that comes with the Rodman name. The Hornets kick off Summer League next week in Las Vegas.   Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets
    • At this point, I only care what he does in 2025.
