Is anyone here not really happy about the direction this franchise is heading?

I am happy.

Rivera is a better defensive mind than Fox

Anyone is a better offesnive mind than Davidson

We have tons of talent

We drafted tremendously gifted kid at #1 overall....and get to see what happens. Should be fun.

I think predicting wins and losses is for chumps but I am very excited about the changes. JR/FO/coaching staff and players all seem to be reading the same damn playbook for a change and that is what it takes.

It appears to me that JR is taking this opportunity (the new CBA) to manipulate our future so that we are not flip-flopping from good to bad seasons. I am 100% behind it.

Couldn't be more terrified of where this franchise is heading.

JR seems to have lost it.

Cam is a huuuuuuuuge unknown and it seems we've tied our future to him with no real alternative plan.

We're either old and good or mediocre at best at most positions, except LB and RB (yay!) and our coaching staff is extremely young and unproven in their new roles.

Lots of things have to go right for us to be successful.

Wow. Seriously? How is that last sentence different for us than it is for any of the other 31 teams in the league? Of course Cam is a huge unknown, all #1 picks are. Hell all draft picks are. Every season is an unknown even with the same players.

It's like Mr. Obvious here with a Negative Nancy attitude.

This. Fuging this!

To the OP: I don't think you can lump this year in with the previous three at all. One of these things is not like the other.

I certainly can lump them together. It's the direction of the franchise that is bothering me.

I have been saying this for a while, and this off season has not changed my mind.

Just not really sure that Hurney knows what to do right now, and is just grasping.

Also just wanted to mention that it's now very obvious that Marty Hurney overvalues the Running Back and Line Backer positions. I know that's not a shock to anyone, but damnit it drives me crazy.

Those are two of the most plug and play positions on the football field, and we have 4 1st rounders playing between those two spots.

completely agree.

what could he be doing that, in your eyes, would be more beneficial to the franchise?

^this.

Would you rather be like the Cardinals and give up DCR and a second rounder for an unproven QB. Then on top of that give him a 63 million dollar contract?

Not to mention both positions already had significant depth before resigning anybody...
