Panther fans and BofA getting ripped a new one on WFNZ today

we should have another one of those "Raleigh vs Charlotte fan environment" fights!!

:lurk5:

Gotta say, I love Panthers games, and I've been to some good ones, including every home game in 2008. But the NC State/Florida State game last year was unlike any atmosphere I've ever seen at BoA. Then again, that's what happens when the stadium is halfway full of drunk college kids who didn't have to pay for a ticket. If you have tickets that range from $45-$95 and PSLs that cost thousands you're never gonna get a college football type atmosphere.

So I have WFNZ on the radio here in the office. The topic on every show today has been how bad the BofA environment is and how lame Panther fans are. It's all true, don't get me wrong. HOWEVER! Every single last one of you "fans" of the Steelers, Giants, Browns, Bills, Jets, or any other other craphole town you claim to hail from and who's team you claim to love, can kiss my diehard Panther fan ass. Nobody cares about a Steeler fans opinion on the Panthers. Nobody cares about a Bills fans reason why fans didn't show up to BofA stadium last year.

I have always been obnoxious and loud at our games, but I will answer Ron Rivera's challenge to Panther fans.

I'll be right there with you.

Well the stadium needs to be more intimidating towards the visiting team and their fans .. I mean its pretty lame when the visiting fans are louder that I the home fans.. I do my part I only use my seat in between plays, when I leave my voice is gone but we need things that get more fans off their asses.

One thing that would help would be the music, stop using the top 5 from 95.1 and get some hard rock and rap to get ppl psyched.

    • Yes, it tells me they’ve improved significantly from sitting at what, 30-31st in the league on the PP to 11th now.
    • I wanted someone to hire him so we got the picks, but I'm also not upset that he'll now be back. I genuinely don't understand why so many fans on here dislike him so much.  No, he's not perfect and made some mistakes this year, especially at the end of the playoff game and going so soft in coverage on the final drive. But considering this place torched him all offseason for us having the "worst defense in NFL history" last year.  Said in the whole pre-draft process how we had to go defense in round 1 because of it and then complained the rest of the offseason that we didn't do enough to improve the defensive roster. How do people say all that about the defense and then complain when he turned that same unit into a pretty respectable defense this year.  They were really the only reason we were in a lot of games for most of the season, as the middle part of the season they really stepped up and were playing like one of the better defenses in the league. I don't see any reason we can't improve even more next year if we spend another offseason focusing on adding pieces on that side of the ball, which we should be able to do with our draft picks and cap space.
