There was no way of knowing Otah would be injury prone, that Brown wouldnt be as good as he could've been, or that AE wouldnt pan out. Unless you had the prognostical abilities of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce or HappyPanther, of course...

If you feel our FO is inept that is a different story but its too late now. Drafting in the middle of a coaching regime change is akin to russian roulette IMO. Also, losing an 8 year institution of a coach like Fox was is hard to do. Especially with a rookie HC. Fox was once a rookie too. JR obviously felt that Hurney's experience could soften the transition but there are always going to be blunders when old faithfuls and fresh approach mentalities sit down in the war room.

We have to move forward and Cam was/is the right first step. Build around him now and fvck the fans who think it will happen overnight. That is just not realistic. It will hurt for awhile but hopefully not forever. How many HC's, bad picks, and offensive/defensive mentalities have the Raiders been through before seeing success, How about the 49ers? The Lions?
