We could cut Josh Thomas for him. He's been inactive half the time so Hogan would just be taking his spot on the bench... then he may be 100% ready by the end of the year and finally take the field.

He's a rookie who has been on the shelf with an injury for a long time... wouldn't suprise me if we didn't activate him at all this year. I'd rather give him plenty of time to get up to speed then send him out there before he's ready and let his confidence be destroyed.

They won't activate him until they are ready to put him the rotation given they will likely have to cut a DB to open the position for him. No hurry really unless an active roster player gets hurt. Most rookies not named Cam Newton don't come in and tear it up right away.

Why is he not activated? Because three season ending injuries is enough for one year.

It takes a year to recover from an ACL unless you are a freak. Even if you are a freak, why rush him back?
