He shouldn't have done that. He felt betrayed at work and reacted toward his boss. That happens too and sometimes they even fire you for that, which he seems to want.

Maybe he didn't have the bunker mentality he should have (the right coach and team can change that)but the talent is undeniable, plus he didn't kill anybody or get caught with the sticky.

Thats kinda like saying the dog bit my hand just once. No matter how good the dog is after that you still know at some point he could do it again.

Look at VJ and many other that have said they wanted to leave but didnt quit on there team.

i didn't have a problem with kalil or beasons contracts, as they are actually among the top players at their positions and would have received something similar on the open market. (though it would have been nice to get somewhat of a discount considering they weren't)

just about every other contract though was pretty bad. some were just outright rediculous. our owner/management act like it's a good thing to overpay your own guys. i really don't get it but that spending spree to keep a 2-14 team together is going to handcuff our team for years.

You do understand that contracts mean about nothing in the NFL right? If a team wants to find room for a player they can make it work and the panthers are one of the best teams at doing just that.

I couldn't disagree more. Colston is bigger, longer and more athletic. He also runs his routes with ease. Lafell is very solid for his stage in career, but he's going to have Gettis breathing down his neck in OTAs.

While Gettis showed flashes in his rookie year, I strongly disagree with this part of your statement. Barring some unforeseen draft pick or FA pickup, I think LaFell cemented his spot as #2, and rightfully so, for the upcoming season. He made some spectacular catches, while also catching something like 95% of balls thrown his way that were catachable. For a guy whose biggest knock was his hands, he has come along as well as we could all have hoped for. I think people constantly look for his replacement because he doesn't have Desean Jackson speed. Give him a full offseason with OTA's and minicamps and I don't think Gettis has a chance to replace him as #2 WR.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong but LaFell earned his spot this season IMO.

I wouldn't mind us signing a WR and return guy for a decent price. I feel like we could get someone like Garcon,Harry Douglas,Eddie Royal,Early Doucet and Cotchery for WR and someone like Ted Ginn for returns and probably for a good price. Maybe we could find a decent safety as well but I feel that safety is an overrated position that doesn't matter as long as you have a good front seven and decent corners.

If we signed just one of the corners preferably Webb, i would be satisfied and look to the draft to fix everything else.

I agree with that as well. It just seems to me that Corners seem to not play as well when they get around 30 so why not just draft one instead of signing one for big bucks that will only be great for a good years?
