Lets Say We Get Morris Claiborne... And Zach Brown Drops To Us In The 2Nd...

Lets say we get Morris Claiborne due to circumstances... and Zach Brown drops to us in the 2nd... Do we gamble with our DT situation holding up under Ron Edwards and sophomore DT's with an offseason or do we ignore the incredible chance to instantly replace Thomas Davis with his home grown clone and just blindly take best available DT?

There will be some great DE's available at our 2nd round pick.. it would be very hard to pass one up. I could pass on Zach Brown, even though he would fit our scheme perfectly. Pass rush is more important.

Walterfootball.cOm has morris claiborne dropping to us due to cleveland being forced to select ryan tannehill and tampa going with trent richardson. We also have the option of trading back should the Buc select M Claiborne and Richardson drops to us at 10.

Walterfootball also has zach brown falling pass us and us selecting Jerel Worthy DT from michigan state, which isnt a bad pick. But given the option to replace t davis with homegrown talent in the second... Shouldnt we take it?

well you definitely take Claiborne, I'd only take Brown if the DE/DT's there are not first round to early second round grade, in other words Brown is the best pick available at a position of need

Interesting side question, not that he will drop after yesterday's 40, but if Kendall Wright is there in the second do you take him

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
