Lets Take A Look Back At The Huddles Opinion On Drafting Cam Before The Draft

And why was that?

Shouldn't we be concern about ALL these QBs who haven't yet proven themselves on an NFL level? Why are we more concern about some and not all?

Admittedly all the the comparisons to other black QBs, and the fact his SMILING of all things was pissing some people off made me feel like it was racial at the time. To be fair though, the laptop thing raised the question of his character and rightfully so.

Drafts are a crapshoot. Moral of the story is chill out so you don't look like some hateful idiot when the results come in.

Meh, people make mistakes. No one really knew how hard Cam worked except Panther scouts, JOAT has admitted he was about him before.

Yes people make mistakes. Rational posters don't make such definitive statements over and over again while at the same time thinking they're the only rational ones. I really don't care if he admitted it or not, there were a lot of ignorant statements he said about Cam and the stupidity of it should be called out.

I love Cam as much as anyone but what are you guys gonna say when Cam comes out and struggles this year? He's still a young guy. Philip Rivers is a vet and he struggled last year. Yeah I have high hopes but I'm not gonna over do it with the expectations.

That is because Philip Rivers sucks and throws like a powder puff girl but gets to play in the worst division in all of professional sports (until maybe this upcoming season). B)

I thought they were being "realists" and that anyone who thought we should draft Cam was an idiot that didn't understand football. Last year was a lot of fun actually

QB Andy Dalton in the 3rd or 4th please....

photo-thumb-3.jpg?_r=0 Posted by Zod on 14 January 2011 - 06:59 AM in Carolina Panthers

Reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. 6'2 Senior out of TCU . Projected a 4th rounder but i believe will move up to 3rd.

Ever year in college his completion percentage went up. Every year in college his QB rating went up (166 this season). Every year the number of sacks he took went down.

I believe he is playing in the senior bowl. Hopefully we have some folks looking at him. Could be a late round steal. Most places rank him the 7th best QB in this draft.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
