Losing Respect For Drew Brees

I like Drew Brees. I don't fully understand what is going on with him not knowing what is going on, but I respect him like I respect Peyton Manning. They are both classy guys and have given me no other reason to think otherwise. Drew is in a shitty situation and I am not sure why he has gone on record to say that they were paid for performance.

I'd say all this bold faced lying is one good reason for you to think otherwise. It's either blatant lying or willful ignorance. Either way, it's the opposite of classy.

I understand your point. It looks bad, but the fact remains, the Saints did not actually "go after Crabtree's ACL". I think what happened was that Williams went overboard with what he was saying in order to get the players hyped, which is in no way okay to joke or talk about. Even talking of willful action to hurt a player from a coach warrants serious action, possibly even expulsion from the league. There are so many possibilities to look at. Joe Paterno was put in the same shitty situation, and I think Drew Brees is in something very similar. I refuse to throw dirt on Drew Brees' face without knowing exactly what is going on in his head and his knowledge of the situation itself. Drew Brees is not stupid.

You know i have not heard about him making rounds on the daytime talk show circuit lately with the blonde-mopped, Brees-brood in tow. It must not be advisable at this time to serve him up as the all-American hero of the helpless and champion of the sewer like they once all clamored to do. Wonder why.
