ROBBED @show_case29. You had my vote. Guess who also finished 3rd in the 2009 Rookie DPOY??

I found this mildly amusing. Maybe it adds a little extra to our next game against them. To be honest we would have been upset if Luke lost too so I can't really hate on people for getting mad when their guy loses.

Matthews looked very surprised when he opened that envelope and saw "Luke Kuechly". Watch the clip, you'll see the shock clear as day.

No, it's not overly shocking to hear this from Clay Matthews of all people. I would've, however, expected a lot more professionalism and a lot less childlike behavior and whining from a Packer on Twitter. You'd think he aspires to be a Saint.

Casey Hayward I think is the only other guy that should have been in contention of DROY. I was reading some of the comments on NFL.com about Luke getting the award and a TON of people really think Wagner deserved it. So many of them think Luke won it simply because he puts up insane tackle numbers.

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
